Advent calendars

Notspaghetti, I love this idea, lots of us dont really want more
'things' but a treat every day would make me feel so special. I'd really like a lip balm/ hand cream one with little Lindt reindeer and teddies hiding in it!

I m the opposite I think it’s awful totally overpriced and unnecessary and not the spirit of Christmas at all
Now maybe they should make (or perhaps they do make) an advent calendar that gave £5 or £2 or £1 to a different charity each day that would be more the spirit and would be better than creams, potions, drinks, chocolates and Lego, in my opinion

Oooh Lovely jubbly toscalily, wouldn't want the reindeer to get lonely by himself though may need a friend or three!

I hated the way advent calendars started to include chocolate. Surely it was better to have a lovely Christmasy scene to look at each day? I’ve got a box full of advent calendars that I’ve collected over the years: some from Germany and Austria and they’re beautiful. I’m going to get them out for the grandchildren this year.

When Gdcs were very little they enjoyed playing with a ‘little pictures’ one after Christmas - opening and closing the little windows over and over. ❤️🎄

Lucky me, the local greengrocers/deli had two cheese calendars in and I have stashed one in my fridge. The portion sizes are just right for me. It kind of fell into my hands
