You say you wouldn't deliberately upset people - but neither would I - or most other Gransnetters.

I posted a lighthearted thread, people seemed to be critical, so for goodness sake was understandable. People who didn't like it could have said nothing. No need to be unkind.

I was the OP. So the comments were about my post.
Was doing something which I thought would amuse people. No wonder I changed ny name to Nadeteturbe on GN.. Nothing wrong with people treating each other kindly.

I don't bother posting much now. Life's hard enough without being criticised for a funny post. Which the female concerned thought was funny herself.

Nobody treated you unkindly. You posted something you thought was very funny. A few posters said they didn’t think it was funny.

At least your post didn’t have your face on it so you could be identified and have people laugh at you for years to come.

Yes, some people enjoy humour that’s based on other people getting it wrong, making a fool of themselves, being mocked. slapstick, Mr Bean, Norman Wisdom etc.

I’ve never found it funny. Not in comedy or real life. That’s all.
