Though to be quite fair, it did contain a change of address card, too.

I only send one now to my husbands mum she's 92 and in a care home.

I used to send a lot of Christmas cards, then one year I thought "I wonder who will send me a card before they receive one from me?". It was a real eye-opener. I did receive a few cards before I posted mine, on the last day of posting before Christmas. I then received a lot in the New Year. The next Christmas my list was so much shorter - and cheaper.

Wrote my cards today; will post them the first week in December.

I prefer to make a charity donation rather than cards and postage.

Not cards, but I saw my first Christmas tree in a house on 21st November.

I had reduced cards that needed posting to about 10 last year.
Yesterday I messaged most of the friends I usually send cards to wishing them a (very early) Merry Christmas and explained I will be making a donation to a local charity in memory of a dear friend who died a few weeks ago aged 51, instead of sending cards.
I'll still send cards to immediate family
