Just that.
Is there ever a dedicated thread on GN where posters can get fired up next month if they want to share ideas. I mean just shortish posts about decorations, the weather, food and drink, travel arrangements, presents, fayres, lights, church going etc.? All under the one thread, without detailed discussion, a bit like Good Morning on here, or would it get chaotic?
Just wondering.

^That's a very good price^!
I hope it doesn't smell like disinfectant!

It should be fine, it's a Yankee candle.

I’m one of the lucky ones. I’ll spend Christmas Day wit h my dd and family and my d and gd will come to me on Boxing Day. My sil has to fly to Australia to check up on his parents on Boxing Day morning so they’ll be a bit down. I’m about half way through the baking, most of the presents bought and some wrapped. My sil will get my decorations out of the attic next week. Must try and get ahead as it looks as though I may need to put in extra time at the hospice getting the Christmas Memory boxes and bags done.

Love, love, Christmas, not got everything done but part of the enjoyment for me is shopping, stopping of for coffee ect. Afternoon tea arranged with friends.
I get my Christmas tree about the 9th, it's up by the 11th. Candles all sorted.
I am going shopping for a Grinch Oudie for one of my Grandchildren tommorow.
I know it's funny, and, although I order presents online I don't get the same buzz as I do going to the high street.
Everyone loves Christmas in their own way.

December 1st.
First Sunday of Advent. 🕯
We wait in Hope.
Let the countdown begin. 🎄

The Advent candle wreaths have been set up (one in the lounge, one in the kitchen), so I really feel as if Christmas is now on its way. No other decorations yet.

Hoping to start wrapping OH presents this coming week.

Will post the cards for Europe this week, but I’m reducing how many other cards I’m sending out this year due to the cost - some will receive an electronic one instead. I know it’s not the same, but postage is really prohibitive when there are lots of cards to send out.

I’ve got my 1st Christmas doo this afternoon. A meal at a lovely local (for me, yay!) Italian restaurant with book clubbers. 12 of us. A Christmas menu, 3 courses, half bottle wine each, coffee and amaretti biscuits, £39 each. I’m thinking I’ll choose the turkey roast dinner. 🎄. I’m so looking forward to it! It’s sunny too for my walk over so I shall wear a dress and heels … a nice change from trousers. 😁

It’s sunny too
confused what does that mean, please?
Enjoy yourself!

The events begin but, of course, a couple of events always clash so it's decision time.

I ordered a small gift online for someone we'll see over Christmas then realised the advised delivery date was 26th-27th February! So I was able to cancel it and will have to think again now.
