I’m sure there are some beautiful trees out there, trees which tell a story with decorations gathered over the years, elegant trees, big tree, little trees, real trees, artificial trees- well I thought it might be nice to put them all together on one thread!
Here’s my tiny tree - a far cry from the 6 footers we used to have when the children lived at home.
But also safely out of reach of dogs- I have an abiding memory of Jock, my first (and only boy) greyhound who took one glance at our floor standing (big) tree, and clearly thought” Oh good, indoor plumbing” 😱😱😱
So bring out your trees tchsmile

We have monstera in the garden and it has taken over and is pressing against the window. It fruits every so often. I was going to cull it until I saw the price of very small ones in pots. Now I am proud of it! It must be worth thousands 😊

Here’s mine. I made the fairy on the top over 10 years ago. DH wants a smaller tree.

My 20 year old pencil tree

No tree, but there was the sad failure of the dried fruit fireplace Garland (see previous post🙁) which I took to the Charity shop in exasperation.

I then went and bought it back ( don’t say anything!) and did my best with some of the helpful hints people gave.

It now sits on the hearth, not the mantelpiece and I think it looks quite nice now🙂

It has twinkly golden lights at night too 👏

That looks lovely Lathyrus3 . It’s a win, win situation the charity got some money and you’ve a lovely decorated hearth.

This is my baby Monstera and the pottery trees which cover me in glitter every time I touch them.

Haven’t had the heart to have a tree since DH went into a nursing home for his last Christmas but am impressed by all the lovely photographs. From a tiny tree in our first home via a 10 ft monster, climbed nearly fatally by two kittens, to normal sized trees in our last two houses, we had almost sixty years of laughter, drama and recrimination and I have two boxes of precious tree ornaments, gathered over those years, but not the courage to get them out. Thank you all for sharing your trees.

My H loved the Christmas Tree but it was never a designer one.
We had multicoloured lights, the old fashioned ones where you could replace bulbs individually so a set lasted years.
Then there were the ornaments ,bought over time and always the ones made by C from toilet roll middles and crepe paper .
Very happy times but only remembered with smiles ,not sadness.
I can’t find any photos to show but a couple posted on this thread are very reminiscent.

Very minimalist this year - all natural using what I could find down the lane. I do have fairy lights around the staircase though

Lathyrus, not only have you made a lovely garland this year, but you have helped a charity. Feel free to pay yourself on the back.

My darling husband always used to get a real tree ..too much bother now I'm on my own . I now have a white artificial tree with a very special Kiwi near the top for my family far away in New Zealand.

Esmay Mon 15-Dec-25 14:29:43

What lovely trees .
Well done !
Mine isn't up yet and will be outside .

They are all beautiful. We are hopefully buying one tomorrow and I’ll decorate it while OH is at his Shooting club. I buy one or two new things each year which means not everything fits on. I’ll post a photo when it’s ready.

One of my monsteras with the 'twiggy thing' next to it.
