Denture and a date - Help!

He's older than you and might well have dentures too! In any case he's not going to be a perfect specimen - Who is at that age?

My Mum had all her teeth removed and replaced with dentures while Dad was in the Army...he didn't find out - for 25 years! He came home unexpectedly from work while Mum had her teeth soaking - he was amazed and couldn't believe he hadn't noticed

I have a bridge which I was told in 2006, would not last, dentist said I should have dentures. I have a horror of them because he also told me that they would need to be removed regularly to let the gums breath. Hence 12 years later I am still wearing temporary bridge. I was also told, although I already have two implants, that because of my age there would not be enough bone to do implant dentures.

If anyone knows different let me know.

I am in the process of having my bridge removed and replaced with a full top denture, cost me £1500 so I’m hoping it will be really good. My dentist told there will be no need to use fixative as it will fit my mouth perfectly. I have to have a temporary denture for six months and then the final one…😬

I've had a partial 4 front teeth since I was in my 20s and therefore have done ALL my dating with it No one has ever noticed or been repulsed My his and didn't know until we were living together lol RELAX

DH uses fixadent gold. Works well.

Hi, I have a very precarious plate and quite a few gaps. Use fixodent and don`t worry. I met my partner 4 years ago and nothing has come adrift! Practice with the fixodent before the day, and have a brilliant time. If he`s good company you`ll forget about your teeth. Happy snogging!

Never mind the teeth, by the time I've dyed my hair, put my make up on, slipped into the spanx underwear, nice dress and added sparkly jewellery, I'm definitely out of the realms of wysiwyg. My lovely hubby doesn't mind either way and nor should any man who's worth his salt. .
