Win over £500 worth of brilliant books for Christmas

The only thing I pine for is an invitation to visit my son and his family in Australia. I haven't been for 3 years and there is a baby boy having his first birthday at Christmas, but I have yet to hold him in my arms.

I'd love a new laptop so I can Skype with friends and family and not be tied to this cumbersome old desktop. It'd help me to reconnect with others when I'm not head-down in a great book. =)

Hmmm. How about a time machine, to rewind the year to pre-Brexit and pre-Trump? OTOH, then I wouldn't have met this rather nice man... Nah, OK, let's just go with peace on earth

Health and happiness for my loved ones is always top of my Christmas list with a little bit of both for me if there is any left over xx

Health and happiness go without saying and peace throughout the world wouldn't go amiss either. Perhaps the death of all the violent men who wish to distort their communities/countries/the world, either for their own egotistical personalities or financial gain.....?

Or a big box of chocolates?

That families unite after parting through disagreements, that people grieving for lost loved ones find peace in their hearts, that people put other people before material things, I could go on, but in a word, a more loving world.

A healthy and happy Christmas and New Year 2017 including all the family. Hoping to see the family more often and be part of their lives. I need a smart phone and a computer ( the latter pc screen not working and my phone is an ordinary phone passed on to me. . X

I've had a rubbish year financially so we're not really doing Christmas presents so my wish is that next year is a better one for everyone.

I don't really have a wishlist, I just love to see the grandchildren on Christmas day and watch them open their presents. I go to my daughters on christmas day and all the family gathers to open presents. I then spend most of christmas on my own with a good book and christmas films.

I'm going to wish myself a swifter recovery from my operation and be able to provide a fun Christmas for everyone.
