It's that time of year again - and the launch of our Best reads for Christmas. Over £500 of fantastic books, fiction and non-fiction, great gift ideas for family and friends (and yourself - goes without saying)

Aaaaand - one very lucky person can win all the books featured on the page. To enter simply tell us what's on your Christmas wish list (it can be absolutely anything)

We will be picking a winner at random on 14 December - more details on the page

A new bathroom would be lovely if we are talking wishlist! But happy just to have a few weeks off work at home with the family.

For one of my dearest friends to have a happy probably final Christmas with us all. He is having palliative chemo for advanced cancer and his determination and attitude is amazing.
For our children and families to have a stress free relaxing time as they have both had a pretty exhausting year poor things .

We don't exchange presents at Christmas as it seems un-necessary! So my wishlist is to have a really nice time over Christmas, lots of fun, to enjoy my Christmas curry and at some point some baked Camembert, and maybe a bit of snow here and there as it makes me really happy! I might get a couple of books and DVDs for our collection!

One year my hubby gave me a theatre gift promise (ie, he promised to spend a certain amount on theatre tickets for shows of my choosing - the theatre vouchers that you can buy don't work here in Northern Ireland) - that was a great present - I really enjoyed the two shows we ended up going to see. I might drop hints for the same thing again this year!

Having experienced some years ago the first Christmas after the loss of a loved one, my wish would be for all going through that this year to find love and support through out the season. For them to know they will learn to live again.

My Christmas wish would be to get my country back - children with job insecurity, and siblings not talking to me! Not a good recipe for an harmonious Christmas!

Would love a nice holiday somewhere warm soon but so long as my family are happy and healthy then that's the best gift I can ask for at the end of the day.

Peace on Earth and goodwill to all men (and women), oh and I'd love all those books to share around.

Work has just been crazy throughout October November and going into December so my big wish is just some time relaxing with the family.
Chocolates and bubble bath would be great too!

I still like a 'surprise' - drives my family mad as they say they can never think of anything! I am very easy to please though, honestly.

I'm not looking for a gift as such but I'm hoping my eldest daughters twins arrive before Christmas as my youngest is sitting mock A level exams straight after they start school in January. She lives 500 miles away so I won't see them until half term otherwise. Please please please come on time

My Christmas wish is for a break from the anxiety and depression which has been weighing me down for over 40 years, books are a great escapism for me though.

I love to read, and if I am not lucky enough to win this super prize then a MAGAZINE SUBSCRIPTION to WOMEN AND HOME for a year would be great. After I have read the magazines from cover to cover they go into my crafting room to use for decoupaging small boxes, nothing is wasted.

clarateddy Sun 20-Nov-16 10:06:08

I would love a pair of straighteners to stop my hair looking like a lions mane. and of course good health to all the family

GrannyA11i Sun 20-Nov-16 10:24:53

I'd like another 'experience voucher'! Our younger DS gave us one for a night in a themed suite in Scottish castle with dinner in the restaurant last Christmas and it was a lovely short break in the Spring.
