I loved Rumpelstiltskin! My favourite part was when the queen said his name and he stamped his foot hard on the ground. I can still remember the picture of that in my book as a child and laughing out loud. That brings back happy memories, I read it so many times smile

Goldilocks and the Three Bears

Claire11 Wed 18-Sept-19 16:53:56

Cinderella. I've always loved happy endings, good people and good deeds succeed rather than selfish and unhelpful people. A rather simple way to teach children how to be kind and share.

the elves and the shoemaker hoping to fix the holes in my shoes

Dorita Wed 18-Sept-19 17:10:14

The Three Little Pigs and their houses. I was amused by visualizing them building their houses and the moral of the story.

Tillylil Wed 18-Sept-19 17:19:15

Cinderella. I love how good triumphed over evil.

"Who's that trip trapping over MY bridge?"..... must be the billy goats gruff!

Rosa55Lyn Wed 18-Sept-19 17:39:37

I was Cinderella, after all those struggles she still showed empathy and compassion for those around her. She got her happy ending.
Oh I loved her blue ball gown, wished I had a dress like that...……….and those shoes. Maybe that's why I went to work in a shoe shop!!

vtroll Wed 18-Sept-19 17:46:44

I loved Sleeping beauty and still do. It's so romantic and lovely

helenrj Wed 18-Sept-19 18:18:37

The Princess and the Pea because I had a lumpy mattress and thought I must be a Princess

badgermum Wed 18-Sept-19 18:47:45

Three Billy Goats Gruff is my favourite as a child, parent and grandparent as you can really go to town with emphasising the goats and of course the Trolls voice

JANH Wed 18-Sept-19 18:59:01

Cinderella, ,I loved the rags to riches story

Chorlton43 Wed 18-Sept-19 19:43:27

Loved Cinderella due to its rags to riches story. And it was a happy ending and the wicked stepmother and stepsisters got their comeuppance.

mecazza Wed 18-Sept-19 19:55:11

Loved Little Red Riding Hood when I was small. I still like being scared.

cheekychicken24 Wed 18-Sept-19 20:23:35

I used to love the Princess and the Pea - just the thought of being able to prove I was special and important by such extraordinary means! Trouble is I always slept like a log as a child, so I'd never have passed the test!

clairewoods137 Wed 18-Sept-19 20:28:17

Snow White because I loved all the different dwarves.

DiPc Wed 18-Sept-19 20:29:32

Cinderella, love a happy ending

24Bellfield Wed 18-Sept-19 21:00:03

I loved Cinderella because she got all dressed up to go to the Ball and meet her Prince Charming. It had a happy ending so that made it all the more enchanting.

danicom1 Wed 18-Sept-19 21:17:57

My favourite fairy tale was The Selfish Giant by Oscar Wilde. I remember both my mother & grandmother reading this to me and it was always my most highly requested! Such a lovely moral to the story & will always be one of my favourite memories of my grandmother.

annieg123 Wed 18-Sept-19 22:11:12

Rachand Thu 19-Sept-19 00:38:14

For me it was the Elves & the Shoemaker. I used to love the Elves making the shoes at night for the shoemaker who had been kind, now he was getting his reward!
