I'd take them to a special secret place in Harlech, Wales, where I saw a real fairy in 2004!

As all my grandchildren are big Harry Potter fans I would take them to all the sites in New Zealand where many famous locations were used for the movies (and of course visit all the other natural attractions in North & South Island).
Having visited there 15 years ago it is on my bucket list to see one again and would be magical to give them these memories.

i would take them to a place with open spaces and natural beauty....the beaches of Cornwall, the Woodlands of the New Forest maybe. Wherever I took them, it would be somewhere where they could all be together, as they are geographically widespread and it is hard for the families to meet up often.

Costa Rica, to experience 'Pura Vida' in a beautiful country which embraces conservation and has so many exciting areas and activities to explore

I would take them to Ayrshire in Scotland and follow the Rabbie Burns trail. My eldest granddaughter loves literature and this trip would combine this with visiting all the places my father grew up.

grannyscott Wed 09-Oct-19 09:53:33

I would take them to the Royal Opera House to see a beautiful ballet like The Nutcracker. I’ve never forgotten the magic of my first trip there as a child.

Authoress Wed 09-Oct-19 09:56:26

On safari to Kenya, to some of the places I grew up loving as a child. If they exist any more...

Lisalilly Wed 09-Oct-19 09:56:58

Minshy Wed 09-Oct-19 09:58:09

To the highest hill they could manage to climb and show them that expanse of world that awaits all that they will bring to it.

All of the younger family members are talking about Christmas now and a trip to Lapland to see Santa and the Reindeers is joyously chatted about so that would be lovely. Any other time and their favourite is Centre Parcs.

GrandmaJPP Wed 09-Oct-19 10:04:54

The Christmas Harry Potter experience at Leavesden studios

cathisherwood Wed 09-Oct-19 10:05:36

They would all want to go to different places so it might have to be a round the world trip - one is mad about venomous snakes and wants to see snakes in Australia - one would like to climb Everest. Another has always wanted to see Disneyland. One would prefer to leave Earth and go and visit the other planets

Tillymint21 Wed 09-Oct-19 10:09:16

I would take my grandchildren on a trip of a lifetime to South America - it sounds an amazing part of the world with a wide variety of countries, foods, culture and geography.

GrannyMary1 Wed 09-Oct-19 10:10:35

I would take them to Portsoy. I have fond memories of going there as a child on holiday and swimming in the sea.

scrapgran Wed 09-Oct-19 10:11:06

Mull of Kintyre.

I have always wanted to go to Orlando in Florida, I have said when my Grandson is old enough I shall do a once in a lifetime holiday with my husband, children and Gradchild where we can all experience the Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure, with the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, as we are all massive fans.

Leah50 Wed 09-Oct-19 10:13:54

I'd take them Nisyros Greece, to walk inside the active volcano as I did some years ago....my young grandkids don't believe their staid old gran would ever do such a thing.

GrannyBear Wed 09-Oct-19 10:14:42

I would take my granddaughter to British Columbia. My son was born there and his dad and I returned with him to UK when he was five weeks old. I would love DGD to see where her dad was born.

gerry86 Wed 09-Oct-19 10:15:27

I would take them to Lapland to meet Santa before they get too old to believe.
