The Christmas Harry Potter experience at Leavesden studios

Molly10 Wed 09-Oct-19 10:03:23

All of the younger family members are talking about Christmas now and a trip to Lapland to see Santa and the Reindeers is joyously chatted about so that would be lovely. Any other time and their favourite is Centre Parcs.

To the highest hill they could manage to climb and show them that expanse of world that awaits all that they will bring to it.

On safari to Kenya, to some of the places I grew up loving as a child. If they exist any more...

grannyscott Wed 09-Oct-19 09:53:33

I would take them to the Royal Opera House to see a beautiful ballet like The Nutcracker. I’ve never forgotten the magic of my first trip there as a child.

Sandrajoy Wed 09-Oct-19 09:52:11

Oh I would love to take them to Disneyland I always wanted to take my children but never had the opportunity

cliffyg Wed 09-Oct-19 09:26:46

cornwall is ideal for the whole family 4 grandchildren and dogs
something to keep everyone happy

Marylou70 Wed 09-Oct-19 09:09:51

I would take them to Ayrshire in Scotland and follow the Rabbie Burns trail. My eldest granddaughter loves literature and this trip would combine this with visiting all the places my father grew up.

Suema Wed 09-Oct-19 07:22:43

Costa Rica, to experience 'Pura Vida' in a beautiful country which embraces conservation and has so many exciting areas and activities to explore

freesia Wed 09-Oct-19 06:36:20

i would take them to a place with open spaces and natural beauty....the beaches of Cornwall, the Woodlands of the New Forest maybe. Wherever I took them, it would be somewhere where they could all be together, as they are geographically widespread and it is hard for the families to meet up often.

As all my grandchildren are big Harry Potter fans I would take them to all the sites in New Zealand where many famous locations were used for the movies (and of course visit all the other natural attractions in North & South Island).
Having visited there 15 years ago it is on my bucket list to see one again and would be magical to give them these memories.

CrazyGranny60 Tue 08-Oct-19 20:21:36

I'd take them to a special secret place in Harlech, Wales, where I saw a real fairy in 2004!

Australia and leave them

madnanna Tue 08-Oct-19 19:37:51

I would take them wherever they want to go ,they are aged almost 10 and 8 ,boy and girl and they do everything together ,so they would agree between them .

Ikea1234 Tue 08-Oct-19 18:05:02

So many places! I'm always telling my grandchildren it's a big old world out there and you must see it! Perhaps a road trip across America to see iconic sights like the Grand Canyon and Statue of Liberty? Maybe Kenya for a safari to see endangered species? Perhaps the Great Barrier Reef in Australia? Decisions, decisions!!

kittykomp Tue 08-Oct-19 18:04:37

Disneyland

abzmra Tue 08-Oct-19 17:05:54

I would take them camping and show them the kind of holidays that their Mum's used to go on. We used to travel around and often would sit there the night before, with a map and decide where to go the next morning. We could see and visit many different things on our travels and forget about the real world for a time.

annemac101 Tue 08-Oct-19 16:43:14

It would have to be Disneyland as they're all under eight and live Disney so much. I would also give anything to see their little faces light up.

EthelJ Tue 08-Oct-19 15:24:50

My grandchildren are all very young and still believe in father Christmas, the tooth fairy and magic but the eldest is now 6 and I know he will stop believing soon so I would like to take them somewhere magical, perhaps to lapland to meet Father Christmas.

caz123456 Tue 08-Oct-19 15:05:55

I'd take them to Disneyworld, they'd love it!

fizz65 Tue 08-Oct-19 15:02:25
