A Quarantine Diversion if you have time on your hands

A poem I have misconstrued
Is very short and somewhat rude
I’d thought that Ogden Nash had wrote it
But now I’ll shut up and never quote it!

PS: lemongrove I can't be sure but I get an inkling that this thread isn't catching on. ?

I like Ogden Nash, especially the ‘kindly unhitch your wagon buddy’ one ( when you hitch your wagon to a star.)

A verse of few lines
Ogden Nash could do with two
But not in haiku.

I like it. I didn't see the ? coming!

So much time now with his nibs
Who seems so happy in this crisis,
To get him to move needs a poke in the ribs
But he’s fast when there’s food or vanilla ices.

Sitting together and watching tv
Me watching dramas, him liking ads
A lot of the time he is just watching me
It sometimes gives me the screaming ad dabs!

He approves of me not being able to leave,
It’s what he has always hoped for come true
My comings and goings were his main ‘peeve’
Confined to our quarters is better, he knew.

( sorry....have to go, he is meowing to go into the garden now)

It’s very good btw, I once thought of a quite good poem in the middle of the night,then fell,asleep and in the morning could only remember the first line!
