I've managed 3 weeks too, but like some others, I have an idiot H who cannot manage without his daily newspaper 'fix'. I tell him he may have to do without a daily wife too if he carries on but he insists he keeps 6ft away from the boy behind the counter in the garage shop, so there's no risk. The garage shop is hardly 6ft square!
Makes me wonder if the politicians who have gone down with it were as convinced of their own immunity as he seems to be.
Same as most of us - I'm finding it impossible to book another delivery or even a click and collect - so one of us will have to venture out soon and spend time in a 'dangerous' environment. Mad or wot?

Normally I would be out and about on a Tuesday. I decided to do some gardening and tried to pull some weeds out from between the mint and have sprained my wrist.

ExD have you tried phoning your local council or social services to see if they can help?

I was walking towards the raise beds, heard DH start up the rotovator, which has been playing up and meant to swivel round to shout, 'Well Done,' except my swivelling days must be over because I did an inelegant wobble and managed to end up on my back with both feet in the air!

No harm done other than bruised pride and probably an even bigger bruise on my bottom!!

I did something similar a couple of years ago, merlotgran, chopped down some hedging, stepped back to admire my work and forgot I was on a slightly raised bed. Landed flat on my back, winded, telling DH to just leave me there. The lawn was rock hard due to drought.

Lovely afternoon with GS in the backyard. I won't use the garden because there's a path by it and want to minimise any contact.

He's happy as Larry, naked, with a big tub of water to plodge in and fling around. Makes obvious he's nowhere near potty trained, piddling at random despite frequently being encouraged onto his throne.

Be careful everyone. This confinement brings I a desire to do things, tidy, garden whatever. Don’t go doing yourself an injury. DH and I have decided we need to do an exercise video. Nothing strenuous only 15 minutes for old folk. It’s amazing how many aches and pains I have since starting but it’s only gentle exercise ?

I am unhappy about some effects of social isolating.

People clyping on each other on social media. Someone was "outed" for pushing her child on a swing. It is a swing in their tiny housing estate, not used by the general public.
There will be a lot to do to rebuild relationships when this is over.

DH and I not going out at all though we did sit on our balcony last night with a glass of wine (each ?). We’re lucky to have one. I pity those in lockdown who don’t have a garden or any outside space at all.

What a lovely time he had Gagajo, it's very warm here again today.
Mine all used to love a toy teapot or just a plastic jug to keep pouring water. We have a paddling pool in the garage but no-one able to come and use it. I'l have to watch them on WhatsApp, luckily they have a garden too.

How are you all spending your Easter? We are having a lazy day. Despite being in all day anyway we seem to be slowing down. Nothing specific to do so staying up later and getting up later in the morning and then pottering around a bit. Because the weathers so nice we’ve been sitting on our balcony watching the world go by. It’s very pleasant. Hope you all have a happy Easter ?

If I’m not industrious I’m a royal pain according to family sources so I make sur3 that I do something different most days. Today I’ve planted enough garlic to kill a lot of bugs and devils, shallots for pickling in the autumn and I’m making my own brioche type burger buns after defrosting burgers and then discovering no buns.

I’ve just realised that even my gardening is food centred! ?

Well, I’ve had a piece of celebratory sponge delivered yesterday by the local farm shop. The highlight of my day!

I galloped my way through a book I downloaded on my kindle which was too exciting to put down and I planted some potatoes.

I also took a phone call from a friend which left me with steam coming out of my ears, though she seemed quite oblivious to how far she stretches “Stay at home”. But I have to let it go.

It really is beautiful weather here. An evening for windows, balconies, patios and gardens -by ourselves!

I am not on the government list but, at 76 and asthmatic, decided it was safer to isolate.
I am lucky to have a big garden and two cats for company.
I have put in a new cat flap, cleaned the cooker, like most others have sorted out kitchen cupboards and drawers and today painted my porch. Tomorrow I plan to put up shelf in there for plants, The glass door and panel means it can be a mini greenhouse in there.
I have a very large balcony which is now moss and beech leaf free. Most of the potted plants have survived the winter and I plan to grow veg out there in troughs. Garden itself is mainly chalk and the surrounding trees block out a lot of the sun so is not particularly good for vegetables.
I feel as though I have done a lot but, when I look at what others have achieved in the four weeks, I feel quite wimpy.

Then we were lucky enough to get a grocery delivery for the first time, which had to be handled carefully but at least most of it came.
I should have got out the paddling pool and put my feet in it.

There seems to be plenty of gardening going on but Easter is the traditional gardening weekend; what we are missing is a trip to a garden centre or nursery.

It seems so peaceful here, but I just keep thinking of everyone out there working so hard hard or suffering.

I feel very embarrassed. I haven’t cleaned any cupboards or done any gardening (we don’t have a garden so don’t feel too bad about that). I’ve had a really lazy day today. Sat on the balcony most of the day and cooked lamb in the slow cooker. Not very industrious. You put me to shame. ?

I've had a lovely day. A friend arrived unexpectedly with a food parcel. (Chocolate, wine and hot x buns)
I fear I may put on a lot of weight in 12 weeks. Not to mention alcohol addiction.....
We both did some gardening until exhausted. Our DD sent us a quiz.
We are finding it easy to be quite lazy.

Having recently had all my garden cleared, I feel quite relieved that I don't have that as a responsibility.

You all sound to be coping very well and Gagajo I just loved the description of your wee boy and the water.

If he's not 2 and a half, he's not able to control his bladder properly, that's usually when they begin to have enough muscle control and can identify brain messages to help them anticipate.

Have stayed away from GN for a few days as I was weary of the sniping and general unpleasantness at a time I feel we should be supporting not sniping.

Had a huge box of hygiene equipment delivered free: gloves, wipes, 5 litres (!) of hand sanitizer, tissues and much, much more.

Useful but I would have preferred gramaretto's wine and chocs.

BradfordLass I confided in a friend that my veg boxes were a tad too worthy and I would appreciate something a bit naughty. She complied.
I will remember her in my will.

I phoned a lady today who has offered to bring more things from our favourite shop. However, after 3 weeks in captivity I no longer know what is in stock and when I asked for Acorn butter, she asked if that was dairy or non dairy!!
You have to be so specific. I don't want to have vegan block and gluten free flour. The disappointment yesterday was diet tonic. NO!! But I haven't worked out the mechanics of returning things.

We had a 2nd shielding letter today from the Scottish Government which told us how to apply for a government food box. We don't need one yet but it is good to know it's available.

We had some great weather yesterday and enjoyed the sunshine. I even took my cardigan off.

Hello all. Another lazy day for me today (this is becoming a habit ?) although actually I have done the ironing. Wanted to get it out of the way so I could do some sewing this afternoon.
Been pottering around on GN. Getting my brain in gear to answer the puzzles in Miss Marydoll’s class ?. Had a nice couple of texts from DGDs thanking us for Easter eggs (their dad got them for me) . Lazy lunch then a bit of sewing before a glass of wine on the balcony tonight. Take care all.
