Daily routine?

Gosh you all seem so organised! I do usually work part time but am off and have no routine what so ever! Thought I would have loads of time to declutter etc have done no decluttering, the days go so fast but seems ages since we were allowed out to work etc. Must get more organised.

No routine. Bed 2am, up 11am. Decent brunch 12. Coffee, cake 4pm. Dinner 8pm. Tele, play Gummy Drop on tablet, sit in garden, book. That's it, fine ?

Have to say I can agree with this - no timetables. No deadlines. Yesterday I watched Jane Eyre for 3 hours on Utube - National Theatre production with a break for supper. This week is Treasure Island. Gardening til it's finished - painting the lobby til it's finished, editing a book, sorting photos, plenty to read........love it!

You know... I'm in between moves and in an apartment with very few projects! Already cleaned out all the closets and the house before we moved. So waiting for our new home to be completed in 10 weeks now!
I'm reading some, looking up design ideas on Pinterest for new place, saving$ since no place to put stuff here in tiny apartment, texting or calling friends or family that may be alone, Bible study, trying to teach myself to paint in acrylics, as little cooking as possible ( I order those pre prepped meals via Hello Fresh that takes care of 3 good dinners a week)
For me, the main thing that has helped me feel like I have some direction AND structure:
Text with my friend what we each plan to do that day.
Another thing is my husband and I agreed to not look at phones or computer after 6 pm. We do a game night/ a movie Night/ a reach out to others by phone calls night/ a walk together evening/

My routine hasn't changed much - except not going out!
Always up between 8-9am - make pot of tea, unload dishwasher,wash up glasses from night before, give dog a biscuit. Shower,dress,put towels into wash, put face on,brush hair,take dog out. Live on a gated residential park so stay inside the gates. Normally see the same people - others with dogs or those walking out to buy their newspapers. Phone my sister most days. Make more tea,eat 3 dates then normally get on laptop to check bank account and read e-mails. When DH gets up - make him a cup of tea & offer to cook something but he normally sorts himself out.Plan meals for the following week & add to shopping list. Put food down for dog which he normally ignores & goes back to sleep. Have lunch about 12.30 - ask DH what he would like but again he often sorts himself out. Time for puzzle books & magazines. DH has TV on & if something catches my attention I will watch - like James Martin Islands & Highlands & Jamies storecupboard meals. Try to wait till 4pm to open a bottle but only got to 2.55pm today. Dog wakes up & climbs up my leg as wants to go out again so DH & me put our coats on & walk him round the Park - although we only saw 4 people this afternoon but not to speak to. Took washing in - then back to laptop & on to GN.
Having Wiltshire Farm Foods dinners tonight so will load dishwasher when eaten then sit in front of TV & probably start on the crisps!. Now going to plan next week's meals so that I can add to Tesco delivery for next Wednesday. Will probably go to bed about 11pm ready for a similar day tomorrow- althoug I will cook for tomorrow night.

I find my 'change' fascinating and quite out of character for me. In 'normal' times, deciding what to wear was the catalyst for getting me out of bed and into the shower. Now I shower without any forethought, only change underwear and wear the same top clothes for a whole week as I scruff in the garden and in general. Very strange/unusual for me but finding the different practice somewhat bemusing. I eat whenever/whatever I fancy and have found the early evening slot quietest for my lovely riverside sojourn. Life is good. Mind you, I'm really looking forward to getting back to my active social life but.... that can wait....

I don't have a routine, but I have made a list of things I aim to do some of every day:
1/. Self care (shower etc.) 2/. Exercise 3/. Housework 4/. Brainwork (e.g. reading or puzzles in the newspaper ) 5/. Something creative, like knitting 6/. 'Community' (e.g telephoning a friend or neighbour.
It's just the right level of structure for me, and I can do more or less of an activity, depending how I feel. So today I've done quite a lot of housework, but a couple of days ago I had a craft project I wanted to finish so I spent most of my time on that.

1 Up round about 9, the partner is up at 7
2 Breakfast
3 Shower
4 HUTH(been watching it since I retired in 2011)
5 Play Bridge Online with Partner
6 Go for a walk
7 Tea and teacakes in the garden this week as its been so nice
8 Might bake some scones(never eaten so many)
8a Read the newspapers and do the crossword
9 Prepare dinner
10 Choose together what we will watch on tv
Then bed. No times on the day just totally chilled out because we cant do anything about it.

You are all such active people.I like routines, but dont have many now, take each day as it comes, I dont like being bound to do things on a certain day.
My normal day looks like this : waken about 9am, I never go to bed before midnight, cycle on my excercise bike for my arthritis, have a light breakfast, do my physio exercises, have a shower, maybe go to the shops (we arent in lock down) I try to go where there arent many people,come home, maybe have lunch then go for a short walk.
I garden, doing small things each time, more physio exercises, end of the day cycle on my exercise bike before retiring. Some days I skype or face time friends in the UK, times passes quite quickly really.

Get woken up about 05.45 by a lamb we are hand rearing - feed her.
Either go back to bed or wipe down surfaces, switches, phones etc
Breakfast then surface clean if not done. Feed cats
Feed hens, check sheep water
Emails / correspondence
Coffee
Chores / tidy / housework
Lunch
Put feet up / read
Tea
Feed sheep, settle hens
Supper
TV / read
Bed
All is interspersed with feeding lamb when she demands!

Not a conscious routine... wake up about 6 read in bed till 7.30 get up have breakfast read news listen to radio respond to emails and messages. Phone call with daughter usually. Some chores. Dishwasher sweep floor mop floor tidy up then I go into office inspired by something work on it. Often have orders to fulfil, by about 1.30 am am desperate for break and shower. Do that get dressed take the dogs out and myself go for long walk.
Back about four bit more work. Cook sometimes. At six o clock I often go to nearby park where you can park after 6pm and the dogs run and run and roll it’s lovely. Home to cook dogs supper. And mine have a glass of wine. Go into living room to watch recorded channel four news and see if there is anything special on Amazon, iplayer or Netflix. Lately have been watching a film at this time. Go to bed to read at ten. Bliss

Wake around 5.30, listen to seagulls arguing. Think and pray. Make coffee, eat fruit. Watch BBC for latest coronavirus news then Frasier maybe. And that's the closest I get to a routine. Wash clothes when I begin to run out of knickers and jeans. Most days I go to my allotment. I have a cooker in the shed so can make lunch/drinks, usually watched by a robin who comes in with me. Yesterday planted peas and squash and checked the pond (a discarded bath sunk in the ground). Try to understand why my asparagus is so rubbish. Currently have the company of a female blackbird who follows me everywhere. Walk home - a mile - eat supper at any old time, watch TV maybe but mostly read. Gulls are nesting above my flat and knocking on the windows very loudly every day, so that's their routine which has become mine I suppose. Roll on fledging of their babies but sadly not till August! Watch the sun set and sort of enjoy not being woken up by drunken students cavorting around the town centre where I live ha ha. Never thought I would miss them but am starting to. Dream about my grandchildren who I miss very much. But I have no complaints.

Cook dinner,have been having the meals from Mindful Chef during lockdown,to avoid needing to go to shops so often,will being continuing with them when this is over,they are scrumptious.

Knit,garden,watch TV,from 5pm,staying up until about 3am,I was a Nurse and worked nights for most of my Nursing career,so this suits my body clock.

Intermittently chat to my family during the course of the day.

Since living on my own I do not have a routine. Tell myself there's only me so house is quite clean and tidy. Do chores when needed. Now I'm finding more time to do things I enjoy - more gardening and reading. Zooming with family is great and hearing more from friends. Mobility is not good but am so looking forward to getting out shopping for myself but just now appreciate so much my kind neighbours help.

The usual routines each day, clean kitchen mon and wed.
also bathroom, tidy living room and dining room usually that a thorough clean later in the week.
I get up about 7.30 have a cup of tea watch the news feed the
Cat. My h gets up at 8ish has a cuppa and then we have breakfast. He washes up I make the bed. He has a wash or shower I do the same he goes for his paper and his walk.
I make a coffee when he comes back, then do the chores. After lunch we go for a walk etc etc etc.
Mind blowing

I wake up naturally by about 9, go downstairs and have coffee. Hubby and I then take our dogs for a long walk (just over 5 miles). Come back, sit and have a coffee and by then it’s usually lunchtime. Since the weather has been so nice, I’ve been sitting outside a lot and fitting in the housework when the weather’s not so good. Come in, have coffee and watch a bit of TV. Take the dogs out again for another short walk with my son (who’s home at the moment and working from home - I’m really enjoying this bit as I miss him so much when he’s away). Get back, make our evening meal, shower then watch TV. Feel like such a slob but I’m having trouble getting motivated to do anything else tbh. I’m keeping up my fitness though with all the walking (I usually go to the gym) and I have a nice healthy colour from the sunshine!

As a key worker I'm daily routine hasn't really chained except some nights I'm.finishing a little later. Hubby has been furloughed so he is doing the housework, I set the washing machine before I go out he legs it out brings it in and cooks my meal for when I get in. I'm rather getting used to this

No routine. Just do what I want, when I want, with me, myself and I.

I wake at 6.30 my husband is a essential worker working for NHS have tea,with him .He has breakfast i don't.After he gone to work.Get up about 8.30 feed my dog let her into garden do workout wit joe.Climb my stairs sixteen times i challenge myself to 185 steps a day.Than have breakfast.Son gets up he finding it hard at the moment we than both take dog for a walk.Come back both have coffee together.He than goes up to room to work on web design.I Catch up on emails text to reply to check in on vulnerable realtives by phone.Than tidy the house do a room a day.Than do my virtual Roman course.Climb stairs another 16 times.By this time husband coming home check bath is on for him.Soon comes home goes out into garage takes of his clothes put his dressing gown on than has a bath.He leaves his uniform at home these are just clothes he drives home in.Taking no chances.Than drink of tea with husband and he can destress.Next week how hot tub will be at the right temperature for him to use.So after his bath we will both have a soak in the tub its heavenly with massage jets and changing colours lights.Its just what he needs as so stressful working on frontline

Not much of a routine but try to keep busy. Up around 7, feed our cat, let him out. Cup of coffee, breakfast at 9. Read the paper. Go for a walk, back home read a bit more. Lunch, gardening, washing and ironing. Cappuccino and cake at 4. Evening meal at 6.30-7. TV until 10 then bed. Keep in touch FaceTime with the family on most days.

I think one of the biggest problems at the moment is knowing the days of the week. DH and I have devised a system of 'Landmarks for the week'.

It started on Easter Sunday with a 3 course lunch and a garden table decked out with the best china and glass, We will do that for all birthdays as a way of celebrating

On a week to week basis. Monday is my Tai Chi class, Wednesday DH has coffee with friends (Zoom meeting), Thursday I shop, Saturday and Sunday evenings we watch DVDs, Sunday morning I go to church at 10.15, obviously online 10.15, not my usual church but one nearby that I am familiar with.

It is rather like the pre-lock down days, when Monday lunch had to be quick to get to Tai Chi at the village hall, DH rushed off to rehearsals on Wednesday evening, and I was usually out on a Saturday. It is now like that again - except we rarely leave home and everything is online.

sodapop I dont think cycling is banned as excercise, but up 1km is the limit from the house. We are right out in the sticks in farmland so we have been going for longer rides. We hardly see anyone.

We saw a family on bicycles riding past our house so thought we might go out too, and explore the area doing circular routes including along unpaved routes on our little folding electric bicycles.

Being hilly, we have nearly worn out our break pads. And hubby's electric motor went on strike yesterday during a particularly steep uphill climb.

We've wrapped artificial flowers and ivy on our bicycle handlebars and back carriers. It brings a smile to the occasional passer by.
