I found a webcam website some years ago and it had a live webcam on a beach in Tenerife. We've been staying near there for breaks in February and in the weeks before we go I always have a peek each day to see if people are walking round in t shirt / shorts. Today the weather looks glorious there but the beach is roped off with nobody about. Not even a lone person walking / cycling. Browsing through the other available webcams, it's fascinating to watch live film of the cities around the world, plus some wild life areas. I've just watched a man running for a water bus in Venice - never seen it look so empty - and a few folk walking the fairly empty streets in New York. Yes I know I need to get a life but it's raining outside. However the webcam in the Maldives showed lots of people playing volley ball on the beach.
