Advice please - an I being a wimp

DH and I have just checked in to a hotel in Scotland, I'm really not happy. There's no signage on distancing, no info on whether anything has been sanitised. We walked in wearing masks, we were told we really didn't need to bother. Staff aren't wearing masks, even to prepare/serve food. I'm thinking of checking out tomorrow even though I've booked for 4 nights.
This is our second hotel in Scotland. The first was spotless, signs everywhere, sanitised and wipes in the room, staff wire masks and takes were sanitised as soon as they were vacated. I felt safe there, I definitely don't here.
Am I just being a wimp, or are these genuine concerns?
Advice welcomed!

PS second time I've tried to post this, not sure what I'm doing, apologies if it appears twice!

If you are concerned for your health, leave. All the social distancing theatre is just that and lets face it it isn't always followed. Didn't think hospitality places were compelled to wear masks, only to keep social distancing though many places to have staff wearing them. Been to a hospital appointment today and the only person with a mask I saw in the place was the consultant in her room. Nursing staff wandering about no masks, admin staff no masks. If masks aren't obligatory in that environment can't see hotels being compelled to comply.

I would not stay one night and I would expect a refund

No, you are NOT a wimp. You'd think they would be more on the ball especially as they all want the tourist trade in order to survive financially. Rules are different in Scotland but I know folk who run a B&B in Scotland and they are going over and above to comply because they are responsible people. If you are not happy, move. We are too accepting of poor service sometimes. Hope you have success.

4allweknow, that is a shocking disregard for hygiene. What hospital was it?

BREAKING: Lockdown restrictions are being reimposed in Aberdeen due to a coronavirus cluster in the city

Wheniwasyourage Wed 05-Aug-20 14:54:10

Restaurants and pubs have to shut in Aberdeen from 5pm today, and people there are restricted in how far they can travel. It seems to have spread from a pub. I don't know who, in any UK country, thought that opening pubs was going to be a good idea. As soon as alcohol gets involved (and I am not TT and enjoy a drink as much as anyone wine), common sense starts to disappear.

Let's hope that it acts as a warning to pubs that they HAVE to take contact details and ensure that distancing is taken seriously. Also, we need to dissuade people form moving from one pub to another to another.

If 67 years on this planet have taught me anything at all, it’s to trust my own gut feelings.
I believe we have those feelings for a reason - we are constantly picking up information from all around us on both a conscious and a subliminal level, and those ‘gut feelings’ are based on our internal analysis of all that information. I think as we get older we get better at listening to and interpreting those analyses.
So, no, you’re not being a wimp at all. If you don’t feel safe, it’s almost certainly because you’ve identified that you’re NOT safe, so pack those bags and scarper!
