Visited the GP this week, apart from a notice to wear masks and one sticker on the floor they have not made any adjustments. Receptionist not wearing mask, chairs crammed as usual, five people when I arrived and I made six, in a small space. Contrast with local farm shop cafe who have removed tables, installed perspex screens, have a buzzer system so you collect your order, staff all wearing masks, toilet one way system. I would like to report the surgery but you need to leave details and stating the obvious I will need to see them again. Is this the regular experience?

I think that the telephone appt system works well.
I've often wished I could phone up, have a chat, and just be given a prescription if necessary.
A lot of times that's all I need, and I hate spending time sitting in the waiting room so I can have a 3 min appointment.

I would report them and ask to be transferred to another Doctor. That is just not good enough.

We can't even get inside our surgery without a pre arranged appointment which is followed up by a text message with a number to ring when you arrive so that a masked and gowned person can let you in. I only know this through going to have a pnemonia jab with the nurse. Trying to actually see a GP is like asking for the moon........ it is all telephone consultations!!!!!
