In my case there are between 9.9 and 12.3 million in the queue before me. Based on vaccination 1 million per week and a 70% take up, my expected date is between 24 February and 13 March

I don’t believe a word of it

Why aren't we being told why the delay with the Oxford vaccine? After all, it's easier to administer in terms of logistics, it's cheaper, and it's home grown.

Where is it in the grand scheme of things?

As I understand it, the regulators are wading through the data on the Oxford vaccine as we speak and it can’t be rushed. One of the papers this morning says it’s imminent though. Also the Moderna one has just been approved for use in the USA. We have some of that on pre-order.

I’d presumed that the results from the people who had the half dose then the full dose needed more validation by that combination being used on greater numbers of people, because they appear to improve the effectiveness of the vaccine. If by waiting a little while, millions of people benefit from a more effective vaccine the short wait will be worthwhile.

I have a big birthday in March, so I have the added uncertainty of whether or not I will be in my 'new' age group by the time they start vaccinating that group!

¡Que será sera!

Between 20/1 and 26/2.
I’ll be pleasantly surprised if that actually happens.
