My youngest Daughter is the head of a Nursery school, providing care for Keyworkers and vulnerable Children. The numbers in attendance daily is around 60% less of normal, resulting in less takings in fees, and staff being sent home on furlough. They have also had to close a few times on advice of the local Council, for which they do not get paid. A few times my Daughter has not earned enough wages to put food on the table, and it's been down to the bank of Mum and Dad to keep her and our Grandchildren fed for the week.
The Morrison's discount, plus shopping at budget supermarkets such as Aldi and Iceland have been her lifeline.
Just because she is a Teacher doesn't mean that she is wealthy, far from.it, after 12 years training and experience , her Friend that works at Aldi full time earns a lot more than she does.
