I was wondering what a liver function test had to do with covid. .

We had exactly the same conversation yesterday with my family, we had all done tests before we met up and sent photos of the results to show everyone. We knew they were the right photos but even this could be manipulated. I wouldn’t trust any results unless I knew the integrity of the person testing!

Oh my goodness. I am becoming increasingly paranoid about
the spread of this wretched virus and stupidly it never occurred to me that people would cheat. I am even more paranoid now.

There is always a way round these things, I find it absolutely disgusting that lots will do this to do what they want to do regardless of other peoples wellbeing!

Chatting to my DD in Australia last night, she said that unless they go to a test centre, they have to pay for a LFT. Well, I assume she meant LFT as her husband had to go to a pharmacy to buy one before he was allowed in to a place to work,

$20 for one test! The test centres are always flat out.

We don’t realise how lucky we are getting them free.

I think when you send the results to NHS with a scan of the QR code along with your own individual NHS number it is personal to you only, but this does not stop someone else taking the test for you. If people are willing to cheat, then perhaps the only way forward is mandatory vaccination?

I'm sure my post makes sense. I think there must be a sliding scale of what people feel is the moral thing to do.

Some people are happy to slide a lot further than others.

To the previous poster who mentioned attempted murder, could you draw a comparison to an HIV infections person knowingly having unprotected sex with someone. This has been prosecuted successfully in the past, not sure of the charge though.

Not sure where the POST are who can't lay their hands in LFT testing kits but I'm in Birmingham, UK and I went into several supermarkets near home yesterday and there were people handing out boxes of kits in Sainsbury's and Asda.

LFTs - 80-90% accurate, if done properly - so still quite a risk to take. It's recommended that we do them an hour before contact, as Omicron can multiply so rapidly.

I think things have settled down now, I have been able to order two boxes of tests from the gvt website this week, both have already been delivered. I needed two boxes as I have my sister staying with me and we are both testing frequently so we can visit various family members while she is visiting us.

You can have a negative PCR after a positive LFT without faking the LFT Doodledog. They are not 100% either way.

Some of those desperate to access venues and know or think they are positive use their friends to take a test in the hope it will be neg. Some take tests and never register them positive or negative. The system definitely relies on honesty. I read about a nightclubs that used a room so that customers could do a test to allow access.

There really is no hope for society if people dupe the system. The only way round it is for a complete lockdown or large event venues being shut for good and I can't think anybody really wants that.

Little wonder infection rates are going up because if you want to do the right thing and take a LFT before going out anywhere, you can’t. Your options then are sit inside indefinitely with no social contact, no ability to go out to get groceries etc or chance it and press ahead with plans with no LFT which I guess is what most of the population are doing

These people obviously only think of themselves, just selfish individuals who are maybe going around infecting others. I watched anti Covid passports protesters on the news here in N.Ireland last Saturday, no masks and all standing packed together. Now this week the positive Covid tests have rocketed, some people need to catch themselves on. You don't want the jab it's up to you, but to then ignore all the rest of the medical advise given is just ridiculous. Selfish bloomin idiots!

Sadly too many selfish people who only care about themselves and what they want to do! I take lateral flows to protect the people I intend to see and hope that they do the same for me. If more people had followed the rules and advice maybe we'd be in a far better place by now. I've always wondered how the system of covid passports worked as I realised there is no evidence that a test has actually been done properly. Some of the above anecdotes simply confirm my worst fears! and

Seems we all need to rely in trust and many people just aren’t trustworthy. Luckily the few people we see are - we’ve rejected visits from and to those who we don’t trust to be sticking g to the rules.

My Father said to never trust anyone. Seems he was true.
Surely this could be classed as attempted murder. Or murder.

A school teenager was coming back from holiday with her mother who knew the teen was positive so the mother gave the girl her negative test results then told the staff she’d lost her test so did it again and of course was negative

The daughter could have infected the whole plane for all we know

Of course the system is open to abuse but why would anyone lie about being negative to access a visit to someone in a care home?

The fact some people may or will lie must have affected some of our own decisions regarding what we do or where we go too?
