A lot of folk were vaccinated back in 20/21 and some are multiple boosted. Has anything changed for you, your loved ones or friends concerning health?
Have any of you had covid once or several times, experienced any sudden conditions such as Shingles, Strokes, Heart or neurological issues, skin conditions, or a cancer diagnosis?

Reported.

No nothing I have had all the boosters and only had covid once a couple of months ago. Likewise no health concerns from family. Why are you asking?

Summerlove Wed 24-Apr-24 15:11:44

Everyone in my circle is as they were prior to vaccinations.

Most are very thankful their covid was mild

Gosh, yes. My youngest daughter-in-law now has pink tipped hair, and so does a woman at my gym: coincidence? I think not.

I’m asking because I have a couple of close friends who have experienced adverse events, one on having a second booster and one after their fourth. There appears to be many since, taking it, who have experienced health issues and compensation claims have been submitted to the government. So I was curious to know if anyone here had been affected.

I’m sorry? What do you mean ‘do my research’.
I have a couple of people in my close circle who have been affected and I wondered of anyone here had.

Your post reads like a lazy journalist! I apologise as I’m obviously wrong. I’m guessing that’s why you were reported too.

No adverse reactions to the vaccinations here, or any odd illnesses in my family extended family or friends.
I’ve not had Covid myself and I’m the only person I know who hasn’t.

Jaxjacky Wed 24-Apr-24 16:24:29

Apologies if I’m wrong, but your OP read like a researcher/journalist.

Exactly what I thought.

Urmstongran Wed 24-Apr-24 16:30:59

Phishing to back up an anti-vax stance I think.

BlueBelle Wed 24-Apr-24 16:35:51

Well I wasn’t feeling anything wrong about this post so here’s my answer Robin
I ve had all the injections offered I think it’s about 8 (lost count) I ve had Covid twice but nothing more than a mild cold and never had any reaction to the injection
I m booked in for my Spring vac start of next month

Everyone in my extended family and close friends has had Covid between 2 and 5 times no one had anything more than a cold no one had any problem with the injections

Germanshepherdsmum Wed 24-Apr-24 16:39:08

I think so, Urms.

RunaroundSue Wed 24-Apr-24 16:42:08

... shingles, strokes and heart problems very often are sudden.

The other conditions you mention are diagnosed up and down the country I should imagine on an almost daily basis.

And I believe many if not most cancers don't just suddenly happen overnight. Symptoms are what usually drive people to their surgery.

Correlation is not necessarily causation. An established link between all those things you mention - many of which are prevalent in our age group - is needed before anyone can say that the vaccine has caused them.

... which is I think what you are suggesting.

I was 76 when COVID struck. I am nearly 81 now. At my age the probabilities of me developing health problems in that period are very high and most will be the result of internal developments that had their first beginnings a decade or more ago, for example furring of arteries causing heart attacks and strokes, thinning of bones leading to osteporosis, dementia, arthritis etc etc.

The probabilities of them being caused by all the COVID vaccinations I have had is vanishingly small.

annodomini Wed 24-Apr-24 17:52:08

I've just had a Covid booster - I think it might be my 9th! I have had no ill effects from any of them and I've had every variety there has been. I had a very mild dose of Covid which I thought was just a short-lived cold until I needed a test prior to a minor surgery in hospital. As far as I know, my lungs and heart have given no trouble which isn't bad going as they're now 83 years old.

Robin202 Wed 24-Apr-24 17:54:46

This obviously is a very touchy subject for many of you, accusing me of phishing etc. what a strange and presumptuous stance to take on the back of a straightforward question.

Would your responses be the same if I’d asked if anyone had any side effects from the Flu jab? Or is it just the Covid jab that raises your hackles?

Let’s close this down then as it seems to be causing a hostile response from some.

I’m glad to hear the small number of you who have responded are all fine with no obvious adverse events, except maybe catching covid a few times.

Have a good evening all.

Shinamae Wed 24-Apr-24 17:58:20

I’m sorry you’ve had such negative comments…

M0nica Wed 24-Apr-24 19:39:59

Robin202 Close it down because you are not getting the answers you want? That is the cowards way out.

Over my life I have had a lot of vaccinations for everything from whooping cough, diptheria, small pox, flu, shingles, cholera, yellow fever, tb and many other exotic diseases as I spent part of my childhood in Asia. The only ones I have reacted to are the tb jab, that went septic and was slow to heal and cholera, given to me when I had chicken pox and probably made it worse, as it was the only childhood disease I had badly.

My sister got whooping cough when she was only a few months old and nearly died of it and my best friend's lungs were so badly damaged by having whooping cough she has suffered from severe respiratory problems all her life.

Of course some people have had adverse reactions to the COVID jab, that is inevitable, but those left with continuing problems after catching COVID before vaccination, including many of the deaths, far out number those that have been negatively affected by having the vaccination.

You have yet to link to any reputable peer-reviewed source that says anything different.

petra Wed 24-Apr-24 19:48:24

Well that went well, didn’t it 😂

No.

We've had every COVID and shingles jab offered. We've not had Covid or any other serious illnesses. We've each had TKR since, he's had back surgery.

All is well with our health.
