Huh, I could have made that!

Ah, but the people who say that didn't and that is an important factor.

Modern art is more than what is physically presented, it is about the thoughts that led to the art being produced.

Please discuss.

Yes.

Chewbacca Sun 17-Jul-22 19:37:05

One of the better ones? Good grief!

MissAdventure Sun 17-Jul-22 19:33:46

It's from the gallery collection from said museum. smile
One of the better ones.

Now what, on God's green earth, is that all about MissAdventure? confused I can't get my head around art crap like that and im not sure that i want to get inside the head of the "artist" to find out.
I had a look at the website of the Museum of Bad Art but sadly, it's permanently closed. Can't imagine why.....

MrsKen33

Stardreamer are you asking me for my reasons for no pink buttons .
1 I dislike pink.
2 I like dark green, especially terre vert
3 white and pink is wrong for me
4 anyway why not.? .I prefer it like that

You wrote No pink button at all. Can I change it for a dark green, bottom left?

And I wrote Well you can have a copy and change it on the copy. smile

Can you say your reason or reasons please?

Well I am asking both for why no pink and also for why a green instead please.

During the thread these designs seem to be becoming a sort of microlanguage, with meanings being ascribed. There is oppression, optimism, awkward, each including a pink button, and "more to come" without a pink button, a space instead.

Now you are changing a colour.

I had not heard of terre vert before.

I found the following.

LINK > Spotlight on terre verte

LINK > Green earth

I note that the first linked page has Verona green as a different name for terre verte, whereas the second linked page has Verona green as a different colour.

As for your answer 4. No reason why not at all, I am just interested as to why you wanted to change the colour.

Do you have a meaning to suggest for that design please? Or not?

Would it be a different meaning from the meaning if there were a pink button in that place, which is one design that I suggested?

I find the way that many ideas from many people are interacting is fascinating.

Yes! Do that Chewy ?

MissAdventure Sun 17-Jul-22 18:55:13

Woman riding crustacean.

Chewbacca Sun 17-Jul-22 18:51:54

I shall relay your words of encouragement onto Black Sheep NotSpaghetti! grin

NotSpaghetti Sun 17-Jul-22 18:47:40

Chewbacca

This picture hangs on my living room wall. I think that the black sheep should, ideally, be standing by the tree. But I live with its error anyway! grin

If it was under the tree it would be more "normal" and less dynamic. This black sheep is very much out there - it's a quietly challenging sheep. Not one hiding away or taking refuge!!
go! go! go! black sheep. You are not there in error... you are very deliberately out there. Stay strong!!

Hi, NotSpaghetti

You can if you so choose go to the box and get three more buttons from the box and put them at row 5, columns 6, 7 and 8 if you wish to as to have more to come ...

Which colour or colours of buttons would you choose to do that?

If you produced the "more", over to the right, what would it be?

I like this idea! I would need white ones for this!

Baggytrazzas Sun 17-Jul-22 15:32:53

Well, when I first suggested that I would leave out the pink button and leave a space at the bottom right, I had no idea what that signified, it just felt right to me. So, thanks to those of you who have enlightened me!

MissAdventure Sun 17-Jul-22 14:51:06

I still have the joy of checking out the 'nudes' gallery from the museum of bad art.
I saved the best until last. (I did like a good few of the landscape ones, and the trees in love too)

MissAdventure Sun 17-Jul-22 14:46:54

smile
Very interesting, thank you!

FannyCornforth Sun 17-Jul-22 14:38:45

smile Here you are! www.ranker.com/list/why-cartoon-characters-have-four-fingers/stephanroget

MissAdventure Sun 17-Jul-22 14:35:10

Well I never!
That's something else I've learnt.

FannyCornforth Sun 17-Jul-22 14:33:07

Yes, it looks weird otherwise. Too detailed and cluttered
Here’s Mickey and Homer

MissAdventure Sun 17-Jul-22 14:31:22

Do they?
I never knew that.
By design?

FannyCornforth Sun 17-Jul-22 14:30:10

Cartoon characters also always have only four fingers.

MissAdventure Sun 17-Jul-22 14:28:41

smile
All pleased with myself now.

Chewbacca Sun 17-Jul-22 14:23:08

No MissAdventure, that's spot on and I'm quite miffed that you spotted it immediately and I'd gazed at it for ages and STILL had to have it pointed out to me! grin
Yours sincerely
Mr Magoo

MissAdventure Sun 17-Jul-22 14:16:37

I can only see 4 toes on one of the feet Chew.
Is it something far more subtle, though?

Chewbacca Sun 17-Jul-22 13:48:54

Go on Meryl, share your photos!

MerylStreep Sun 17-Jul-22 13:41:19

Thanks for that info Fanny
I’ve never seen the film which is odd because I often dressed as Sally for fancy dress parties.
Even if I say it myself, I looked good ?

Chewbacca Sun 17-Jul-22 13:40:28

I looked at this many times and never spotted the obvious, until it was pointed out to me. Can you see it straight away?
