Monday 27th Feb weigh in

Hello Glass. I haven't weighed this morning. Little grandson was admitted to hospital over the weekend with a nasty chest infection. He's much better now thank goodness and we are off to see him soon.

Will weigh tomorrow.

I have lost 1 lb since last week, and I think I am back on track after my detour with the banana cake last week. Soup. soup and more soup for me this week!

Oh Jings, I hope the little one is much better today - it'll have been a worrying time for you.
I have lost 3lb this week.....mainly because I've had a rotten cold which has tailed off into sickness and diahorrea.....I know I've spelled that wrongly . I'm really annoyed at myself, because an old school friend is over from Australia visiting her family, and we were planning to meet up today and do a walk in the local countryside, then have a day in Edinburgh tomorrow. Don't think I should chance it - even with Immodium, do you?

Jings hope baby is soon on the mend x

Green you might be ok for the day in Edinburgh (with or without Imodium) as it may have eased by then. Fingers crossed for you x

More tales of woe- Jingl hope your GS is better soon and home, what a worry for you. Green that is a dramatic way to lose 3 lbs but every cloud has a silver lining. I'd maybe not risk the country walk but certainly go to Edinburgh, take the Immodium and plan your "loo stops" in advance.
Seem to have lost 1 lb this week, that is presumably as last night's Galaxy bar purchased at the petrol station and demolished before I even got home, has not shown up yet.

Jingle hope your GS better soon. Green hope you manage to get to Edinburgh and feel ok. I have lost 5lb this week but only because I have been in bed for 12 days with cough, temp and runny nose. No appetite at all. Even chocolate has lost its charms.Rather be fatter and well. Am only 60 but feel 90. At least my pyjamas are loose round the waist.

Jingl, do hope your GS is better and that you are too Sewsilver and Green- there are certainly some nasty things doing the rounds - don't want to lose pounds those ways tho'.

Have been really pleased with self all week - very virtuous (barring peanut butter sandwiches and the odd bottle of wine or two).

There is definitely something wrong with my scales - the only way that the line moves is if I shut my right eye and squint with my left!!!

See what the result is next week and maybe will cut down on the wine.....

I've lost 1lb this week. I was hoping for a bit more as I felt I'd made a really big effort this week. Perhaps the effort will be reflected next week.
Does anyone else keep track of measurements as well as weight? Over a period of time it's a good way of staying focused when the weight gets stuck or seems slow coming off.

Oh dear jings - what a worry, hope he's improved today
I've stayed the same as last week (on my target weight) so I'm fairly happy as I have had bad moments when the sugarary things have called and I've given in. I really must - MUST - be stronger willed

Hopefully jj you'll get a good outcome the same as Butternut

I have managed to lose another pound this week as I have been quite strict with myself but today I feel like eating for Britain and I don't know why. I think I will go out for a walk!

Sewsilver, you've had a really bad dose of something, surely? Have you seen the doctor? Take care.

raggy I'm feeling the same! Chewing the occasional pitted prune isn't doing it for me.Will follow your example and go for a walk before it gets dark.

Oh dear fellow Gransnetters - I really hope all those who have the bugs feel a lot better soon - there seems to be a lot going around and Gransnetters seems to succumb so let's hope that the spring and summer will get us all bouncing back into good health.

My week of going to bed with Paul McKenna (sorry can't send him to you yet! ) and lovely salads has worked and I lost 2lbs! Would have liked it to have been more obviously as I have been so stuck it has taken so long to move anything, but I'm happy with that as I am below the 'great 12 stone' at last!
11 stone 12 and a half pounds! !!!

jeni I dont think you are eating enough and your body is holding onto it. If you could put on here or pm me what you are eating per day I will have a look for you and see if there is anything that jumps out.

glas I think my main problem at the moment is immobility! I have flare up of my arthritis and I am moving as little as possible because it is painful.
I think I will try upping my painkillers and try to take some exercise!
My intake daily is about 30propoints, do my intake is ok.
Try the new regime for the next week, see what happens.

Jingl and Butternut hope your grandchildren are both much better now. It's very unsettling isn't it, when you're not in a position to actually do anything?

glass I'm sure I've lost a few pounds (pj's are definitely looser), but my weighing scales either need a new battery or have finally given up under the onslaught of my great weight! I will sort it for next Monday.

ga Its a good sign when your clothes show movement, but you take care... don't do too much too early, its good to see you up and around again
