How are you all this very frosty morning, sun is shinning but the fields out of the window are crisp white.

I have been good this week and have eventually got back to swimming last night, its frightening how quickly your stamina drops when you dont go for a while, but I am feeling full of beans this morning so feel invigorated sunshine

Glad you're full of beans glass, I'm full of cabbage!
I haven't been swimming for over 30 years, on the basis that me jumping in would have led to a tsunami wave across the pool.
Having lost a chunk of weight though, I've ordered a swimming costume (with a skirtwink) in a size that will not lead to mass fainting, and as soon as it fits me, I'm off to try out my (still considerable grin) breast stroke.

Good on yer, Notso! smile

Notso- that is incredible. Well done indeed.

I bizarrely have now approached my target weight from the wrong direction, i e underneath it, since losing far too much weight far too quickly while I was ill. Am now very happy with what I weigh today and would very much like to maintain it (indefinitely ?), hopefully changing shape slightly to fill out the scrawny bits which suddenly appeared...... Fingers crossed !

grannyk take it nice and easy and you will level out again.

I have lost 2lb this week grin I am very pleased.

glass - well done! GrannyK, that's a bit of a concern, isn't it? Once we've got to that target, how do we keep it there? confused I'd like to get another half-stone off, then I think I'll stay on here for support. smile

Notsogrand Thu 22-Mar-12 20:46:50

Well done glass, 2lb is brilliant!

Thanks notso & green smile

When you have reached your target, it is suggested that to maintain if you are good Mon to Friday you can then relax a little Sat and Sun and that should keep you level.

I've discovered a new sugar substitute called Truvia. It comes in a little pot with a flip up lid, very fine granules (finer than caster sugar) One third of a teaspoon is equal to the sweetness of a spoonful of sugar.
Truvia has zero calories. The best thing though, is that it's made from the leaf of a plant called Stevia, so it's wholly natural and contains none of the nasties in artificial sweetners.
My daughter has bought some Stevia seeds and is going to try and grow the plant.
Have a sweet weekend everyone! grin
