Good luck everyone,
Hi good morning this week I am back on the thread to loose some more for the up and coming wedding I am going to in September,I tried on 2 dresses on Friday and the favourite shows just a few lumps and bumps so I need to loose another 12lbs ? am now at 10.8lbs,to-day I am going swimming and getting the timetable for the over 60s free swims programme at local baths, and I will walk there and back (that is the idea up to now ) ?
I just don't understand it, I've been away staying with my sons for 11 of the last 14 days and eaten all sorts of things I would not normally eat, big bowls of pasta three times, chips and mayo once, cake, wonderful walnut bread, butter, cheese, buns, bread and potatoes. I didn't eat anywhere near the amount of fruit I normally eat or the variety of vegetables (lots of brocolli and beans), so why have I lost weight? I'm down 1.4 lbs.
I've just had blueberries and weightwatchers yoghurt for breakfast which should be lower in calories than a banana sandwich or walnut bread! Can it really be bad to eat a lot of fruit and not much carbs?
I would love to lose a stone before I go on holiday at the end of July.
3.1 lb off in the last two weeks. Think this is 90% stress, 5% mouth ulcers . The last bit is eating a range of healthy foods from very small bowls slowly instead of piling it all on a plate. Still can't move much but hoping when I can will help.
Oh dear! Diet ruined this weekend, with wine, ice cream, BBQ goodies and high calorie salad dressings. No wonder I've lost nothing. On the plus side, my fridge is now empty of the naughty stuff and in this hot weather I will eat lots of salads and healthy fruits and veg this week, so intend to get back on track. I really must get down another dress size, otherwise I'll be buying tee shirts and summer skirts I don't need, when I have sufficient in my wardrobe.
Sbagran since starting that idea of reporting in during the evening so we can avoid fridge-surfing, I've stopped wandering in and out of the kitchen, so some progress there - my downfall now is when I'm with family and friends and the wine and tempting goodies are being handed round.
Back from holiday 3lbs heavier. Not as bad as I thought, have eaten a lot of cake and chocolate, comfort food on boat! Back to WW and counting those points!
Well done Alison, I wish I had the same result!
Up a bit 13 2 3/4
How do you all feel about showing our BMI as well as loss or gain? That would truly reflect each one's situation. This seems a good site: http://www.nhs.uk/Tools/Pages/Healthyweightcalculator.aspx?Tag=
Mine is 26.89 but I would like to get down to 21 one day.
Maybe we could all have an aim, make it public or not, whatever.
Sunny good morning everyone!
I was hoping to lose at least 1 of the 2lbs I put on last week, but I've stayed the same.
I'll be in Italy from Wednesday, so up to my arm-pits in olive oil and pasta.
It's nice to know you'll all be here to help me rein myself back in when I return!
On Wednesday it will be Happy First Birthday to our weight loss thread!
Our first weigh in was on 30th May 2011. A huge thank you to glass for keeping us all going over the past year....and let's all look forward to an even lighter Second Birthday!
Cheers glass, couldn't have done it without you!

Birthday cards are on order glass

One-and-a-quarter pounds off, which has brought me under the 'next stone'! (I've actually been up and down, but like to think that I'm still under that next stone)
Has anyone notice the deliberate mistake
Or just realise that I have lost the plot.
Welcome back glammaI have a wedding in September too, so lets see what we can do together!
Well done alison being with GC can have you running around, but its had the desired effect.

well done in loosing, you are having a terrible time with it all, I hope you feel more yourself soon.
when at least your cupboards resemble Mother Hubbards and all the naughty things are gone, come we can do it together... dont go buying more clothes

golden did you have a good holiday, thats all that matters, you will soon have it off again.
jeni only a little bit, keep at it.
notso dont you go away and worry about what you will eat, have a good holiday and when you get beck you will have had enough of the over indulging and be ready to step back into it again.
notso you have done it all by yourself, you have changed it all around well done.
green getting under another stone mark is a huge boost well done.
Hi glass no GCs, this son has been married less than a year. If it was excercise then I recommend to you all to scrub fences, sand door frames, hem curtains and paint, paint, paint! Actually it did much more for me psychologically than anything else. I had no idea I could work physically so hard for so long and not feel it. I can't remember every working like this so it was great to feel that I am not ageing.
Off for a spa day now so more feelgood stuff.
alison
I have that feeling after having a heavy weekend at the house we are refurbishing, tired but a good feeling.
I started back to SW last night need to get shifted for this wedding in September and holidays in July....... so need to get focused.
glass it is such a good feeling, especially if anyone has treated you as 'old'. Our DS had been putting messages on Facebook about the children coming to stay and what to do with them (us). He was joking but it shows that he does think we are old.
I don't think we always give you the support you give us so I just want you to know I'm chearing you on as well. I'm sure we all are.
My target is July as well. It is holiday but it is with DS's fiancee's family at their home in Vancouver for the first time and I don't want to let him down by being a fat old fogey! Also don't have any summber clothes to fit and if I buy bigger ones I'll lose the incentive.
Good luck everyone!
Thanks Alison
feel very focused today so far
Another one and a half off four and a half to go. It still wouldnt make me less than BMI 25 but four and half stone lighter than when i started so not sure if I ought to try to lose more or if I have diet fatigue.
I'm back - back from the trip to New York and cruise home, and back after having had my gall bladder removed. I restarted my diet yesterday so I will post next Monday as to how I am getting on.
I did weigh myself a few days after coming out of hospital, when I was 800 grms up on before I went away, so was quite pleased with that - was not good last week, though, so may have put a bit more on. I have been told, though, no sport for six weeks, so not sure when I will start on my exercise bike again, as it doesn't really seem like sport to me.
Well done to everyone whilst I have been away.
Glad to see you back gilly but I would do as your told as far as your exercise goes, you dont want to cause any problems, and an exercise bike pulls all the muscles in your tummy!!! Hope you enjoyed your holidays.
Sorry I cant spell this morning
gillie
Bother, bother, bother!
Was moderately calm about the weight gain last week , but am a bit disappointed that I haven't lost anything this week either - I have been careful about what I have been eating and have spent hours and hours (and hours!) gardening .
Hoping that I can stay on track this week and there will be something to show for it next weigh in .......?
The skirt I was going to move the button on no longer needs it!
Haven't been eating that much though - too busy feeding everyone else!
Today everyone has gone out, and I begged off - too much to do before Friday - so chilling-out with GN!
Been crying, too (happy crying) - how much do tears weigh! Water is supposed to be very heavy, isn't it!?
GrannyK it will show and surprise you next week if you dont let it slip
butter there you go you have lost some!!!!
Water is very heavy never get weighed after a glass of water or a cup of tea, so tears must be the same
you sound so happy! Enjoy the wedding if I dont get chance to speak to you before hand, here are plenty
for the big day.
