Challenge total 26.9lbs

Jodi Mon 29-Oct-12 07:51:59

I'd like to lose 7lbs before Christmas. If its ok then I'll weigh myself now, but do I have to declare my weight?

glassortwo Mon 29-Oct-12 07:58:02

jodi hello, no need to declare your weight just what you have lost or gained, the new thread goes up ready for Monday but we all get weighed at different points during the week and all use our own method some are Weight Watchers, Slimming World etc and quite a few use MY Fitness Pal app which you add your meals to and it calculates how many calories you have left. Use the thread in anyway you like, we use it to support each other.

Jodi Mon 29-Oct-12 08:14:57

Ok thanx. See you next week then, hopefully I can add ( take?) from your score.hmm

Pud Mon 29-Oct-12 08:21:25

Hi Jodi, I only joined last wee and have found My Fitness Pal a great tool. Good luck [ smile]

Wheniwasyourage Mon 29-Oct-12 08:49:34

Hallo everyone. Haven't been on for a couple of weeks and las week went up to 65.2kg, but today was 64.9, so you can add 10.5oz to the total.. Not much, but it's better than the negative figures I could have offered before! Good luck to all the losers this week.

Jodi Mon 29-Oct-12 09:51:06

pud just download it. I'm off work this week so been having a play with it. Looks good. Might weigh in on Thursday as that's a good day for me. hmm

Sbagran Mon 29-Oct-12 10:59:33

Well done Pud - I am so pleased for you as it is such a boost to your morale especially as you are new to this club!
Jodi welcome! It's great to have newbies joining us. Glass is an amazing leader - celebrates our successes and encourages us when things are not so good.
Soooo sorry I cannot add anything to the running total as again I am exactly the same as last week. Wish I could make a difference to the challenge but I am happy for myself as I had two training days with very nice buffet lunches blush involved last week, so to remain the same is a bonus.
Hopefully when I weigh again at the end of this week I will have something to contribute!

Incidentally Glass how many of us are actually taking part in the challenge? We seem to have lost some familiar names or is it my imagination? 26+ pounds is nearly two stone between us grin

glassortwo Mon 29-Oct-12 20:56:18

celeb I have copied your post over from last weeks thread. smile

pud I wish I was only 10 half stone, would like to join in feel pleased not put on any weight on our hol to India, well just 2lb that have lost and another 2 to join them!!

can I join in ? we away next weekend but hope to try shift some weight would ideally like to lose at least a stone!!!

We would love to have you join us celeb

glassortwo Mon 29-Oct-12 20:59:09

sba I will have to check up on numbers but we have had a few away on holidays. The Challenge total is looking good. wink

Well done maintaining sba especially when having training days its so difficult to try to calculate when the catering is done elsewhere.

jeni Mon 29-Oct-12 21:16:28

Same!

glassortwo Mon 29-Oct-12 21:19:37

jeni its great to maintain especially when you lost such a lot when you were ill, sometimes it can come and bite you on the bum and produce a gain, I would like to bet ordinarily you would have lost this week. smile

I turned 60 last January. I've always been pear shaped, but had a waist. I know I've put weight on over the past few months but it's all round my waist now. Is this an age thing? It always used to go on my thighs; well, a lot of it has but this waist thing is really upsetting me.

Bez Tue 30-Oct-12 12:33:48

I weighed this morning and am glad to report one and a half pounds down - was very pleased as I was still wearing dressing gown when I stepped on scales instead of being in the altogether !

GrannyK Tue 30-Oct-12 14:30:20

Had such a badly stressed week last week that I didn't dare weigh myself and I didn't log on at all . ( Stress = biscuits/ chocolate etc etc obviously )

This week has been much calmer and am back on track ( ie maintaining target weight and not yoyoing )

On a positive note , I realised that I haven't had two days like that for months. Hurrah !
On another positive note , I actually entered it all into mfp . Made me feel better about it somehow and acted as damage limitation getting me back to sanity really quite quickly !

Movedalot Tue 30-Oct-12 17:15:59

Sorry everyone I have put on a pound. It is just so tempting with all this lovely food shouting 'eat me' all the time! I have been to the gym but not as much as I should and I have been swimming every day but I'm not very good at it so it probably isn't helping at all. Think I will probably be hopeless until I get home.

Well done those who have lost or maintained, good for you.

jeni Tue 30-Oct-12 18:15:56

Have any of you who use my fitness pal on iPhone realised they now have a barcode reder on it?

Notsogrand Tue 30-Oct-12 18:24:21

I've been away from home since last Friday, and not back until this weekend, so I wont be posting a loss or gain for this week.
Which is probably just as well, as I've had 3 wonderful days in Edinburgh eating at some lovely restaurants. We felt it would be rude not to fully sample and appreciate the local cuisine smile
Good luck to everyone for this week!

glassortwo Tue 30-Oct-12 21:55:30
