river try using fry lite on your roast veg and things if you want to save the syns for anything else it works well, but of course not wine as its still January grin

This weeks total 1 stone 3 1/2lb

Riverwalk Wed 16-Jan-13 11:19:57

Thanks Glass - I've just had an Ocado delivery so will be 'optimising' all the goodies! SW is basically low-fat, low-sugar isn't it, I'm fine with that, apart from the spartan amount of olive oil I'm allowed on my roasted peppers!

I'm also having a dry(ish) January so less wine can mean more olive oil grin

glassortwo Tue 15-Jan-13 22:50:34

grin shhh dont want to speak to soon wink

Sbagran Tue 15-Jan-13 22:45:41

mrshat Tue 15-Jan-13 13:16:19

Just a half pound for me - working on the principle that every little helps! I had thought that a 'dry' January would make more of a difference confused

jeni Tue 15-Jan-13 10:28:44

Down a little 13 9 3/4

Grannylin Tue 15-Jan-13 09:08:33

Did 5:2 and can't believe it worked as I was ridiculously greedy on the normal days.Lost 1.5 lb.

Riverwalk Tue 15-Jan-13 08:55:49

I stayed the same sad Had a few meals out - always the problem!

I've joined Slimming World online so now armed with all the bumph to give me inspiration - determined to lose this pesky stone by Easter smile

glassortwo Mon 14-Jan-13 21:18:28

Hey way to go baubles well done grin

This weeks total 6.5lb

baubles Mon 14-Jan-13 21:04:53

2lb down for me smile

I've just cut out all the cake & chocolate and I'm using the My Fitness Pal app.

glassortwo Mon 14-Jan-13 19:43:56

notso keep at it you know it works you will see the difference next week.

crimson looking on the positive side you have maintained so thats a great achievement it means you have halted your gain, hopefully you will start to move towards a loss. Lots on here use MFP and it does help, why not give it a try.

nonu can you clarify what your loss was, I have taken a 1lb on your comment but re-reading your post I think you mean you have lost 3lb smile sorry for being so dense.

marelli draw a line and make the new scales your correct weight and forget about the old figure grin ( no pun intended) and see what next week brings.

This weeks total 4.5 lb

Marelli Mon 14-Jan-13 15:29:38

My new scales are terrible blushsad. I realise that the old scales were leading me to believe I was about 5 pounds lighter than I really am, so I'm dealing with this, and want to lose half a stone. hmm

Sbagran Mon 14-Jan-13 15:13:44

Crimson - if you haven't already done so try My Fitness Pal - you enter in what you eat or plan to eat each day and it calculates how many calories you have left to pig out on treat yourself so you may well find that you can have your evening chunk of cheese!
I like my low cal drinking choc most evenings and possibly also my 4 pieces of plain choc so I enter it in at the beginning of the day and those calories are then already counted. It's the same as writing everything down but with the added bonus of not having to add up the calories. Good luck!

crimson Mon 14-Jan-13 14:15:14

66k. Still getting no proper exercise. Have started writing down everything I eat; that way I won't eat a chunk of cheese late at night, hopefully.

gillybob Mon 14-Jan-13 14:07:21

Me too glass. Have been very good too. No drinking on a school night and making up for it a glass or two on a weekend. So far so good. Probably shouldn't have bought that case of Red at Aldi on Saturday, too much like temptation! smile

jeni Mon 14-Jan-13 13:43:54

Should be mfp

jeni Mon 14-Jan-13 13:43:31

I've just checked on MVP. Water has zero calories!

Nonu Mon 14-Jan-13 13:01:30

Have you tried My Fitness Pal ? it gives calorific content of all foods .

Helped me a great deal . DD put me on to it . She has lost 4stone in 3 months . What a good girl , so proud of her .

Notsogrand Mon 14-Jan-13 12:45:53

Well I'm a bit disappointed because I've stayed the same. Have gone back onto very low carb intake which usually gives a good loss for the first few weeks. There were a couple of celebration days at the beginning of the week, so only 5 days really of low carbs. Must try harder and need to re-check carb values.

Well done to all the losers, and I love the concept of Glass's Gang! smile

gracesmum Mon 14-Jan-13 12:02:14

Looking at previous threads "Do pensioners sit down and watch too much TV" (Yes) "Blue Monday " (yes) - 2 lb ON says it all sad Memo to self, tape up mouth smile

Nonu Mon 14-Jan-13 11:30:07

glassortwo Mon 14-Jan-13 11:20:29

11 weeks to Easter.

phoenix at least its not a gain wink

jane & nonu well done, the first week back after Christmas is always difficult to get into a routine when all the goodies are still lying around.

I am having dry weeks and a glassortwo on a weekend.

This weeks total 4.5lb

Grannyeggs Mon 14-Jan-13 11:15:00

Me too with the dry January thing*Nonu*, but have Book club meeting at my house tonight, and someone is bringing champagne to celebrate someone's 60th birthday, so ....hmm just one?

Nonu Mon 14-Jan-13 10:57:01

I am in the pound club also , 3 off since last Monday .

Mind you having a good old bash at Dry January , sure helps !
