Sbagran Mon 25-Feb-13 12:03:26

Once again apparently no real damage so I am happy with that as I am still in 'time out' (160lbs this week)
One more week until retirement day !!! grin - the period of notice has been a bit iffy at times but on the whole better than I had expected which probably accounts for the 'more or less no change' in my weight as I haven't done 'that much' comfort eating just a bit!
We are having a short break to spoil ourselves in my first week of retirement so I plan to weigh 'officially' on Sunday 10th March which will be Day One of the new weight loss mission to get back to where I was just before Christmas which was pretty near my target weight.
From 10th March onwards I may need you all to nag me but I am feeling confident at the prospect. I feel my period of 'time-out' has been beneficial!
My rough plan is to reach my target weight by 1st July which is just a date to aim for!
Well done those who have lost this week and hang on in there those for whom the scales have been less than kind flowers Good luck everyone!

Oh well. The same as last week, so no loss, but no gain either smile.

Good luck glass. Keep the dress in view so that you don't weaken!

Galen Mon 25-Feb-13 18:52:04

Grannylin Mon 25-Feb-13 20:36:11

Back home after a week away- saw new baby, went to niece's wedding, 5 days in the Lake District (must have passed you at Windermere glass) Gave up on the 5:2 diet but ate sensibly....and lost 300 gr again smile

Tegan Mon 25-Feb-13 20:47:13

No loss or gain again; feel it's still down to the lack of exercise but my leg is still sore after doing a short walk last week [what happened to the me that used to walk in the Peak District every weekend?]. Still eating very well, though, and still not eating bread.

Notso Tue 26-Feb-13 09:58:29

First week back onto sensible eating and I've lost 1 lb. Not a lot, but it's going in the right direction. The week included a big family get together to celebrate twin dgd's birthdays, and you have to try the cake don't you? (Twins, so two cakes though grin)
Good luck everyone!

Grannyeggs Tue 26-Feb-13 10:16:56

I think I may have lost one of the pounds I put on on holiday but I will post tomorrow. Dreary weather here is making me think of eating, so I must gird my loins and venture forth into the gloom and do some chores, post office etc;

Hello everyone, I am back smile Some of you will know I have been having a bad time recently with acute back and leg pain so I am ashamed to say that I continued to put on weight even after the Christmas festivities were over. DH kept cooking comfort food and bringing me nice things to cheer me up which was kind of him but didn't do my weight any good.

Last week I got back into the right mindset and back onto MFP and have lost 2.6 lbs. It is going to be a hard slog as, although my back has improved, I still can't even go for much of a walk so exercise is still out of the question.

Well done the losers and good luck to those who haven't.

Grannyeggs Tue 26-Feb-13 10:33:43

movedalot I have been away for a while and no, I didn't know you were in such pain, you poor thing. You have done well to lose that weight, keep it up but be kind to yourself and get better.flowers

glassortwo Tue 26-Feb-13 20:57:09

sba you are doing fantastic to still maintain, I was not aware you were retiring, but I may have missed it. Your week away is something to look forward to for you both. Dont worry about nagging my DH insists I have a degree in the subject wink we will get you back to your target for July.
when to maintain feels good when you know that it could so easily have been a gain.
grannylin I thought that was you in Windermere wink lovely getting to visit the new baby, but managing to lose with a wedding thrown in too, must have been the walking.
galen you have still lost 1/4 on your weigh inlast week, well done, has the bran worked?

glassortwo Tue 26-Feb-13 22:28:36

Thats what your syns are for, its best to have a little of what you fancy before you crave it so much you fall off the wagon ... big time smile

celebgran Tue 26-Feb-13 22:30:14

Agree, grinyou good at this encouragement lark glass!

Movedalot Wed 27-Feb-13 10:12:53

Thanks glass, back has improved but still have a lot of pain in my hip down to my knee which is apparently part of the same issue. I wake up, think I'm OK, but once I have walked around a bit it is quite painful. I have a physio appointment but not until 25th March! To top that I have now got the seocond 'smoker's cough' this year! I don't smoke. It serves me right for boasting about how healthy I was at the end of 2012. grin
