Wouldnt know where to start sorry move

Anyone have any idea how you input an Indian meal into MFP? I was able to work out the starter but got completely stuck on the main course. (didn't have a pudding!)

grannylin I hope you enjoyed your holiday, holiday weight seems to go on quickly but most times when we get back into our normal routine it tends to come off as quick.
tegan have you thought of Aquafit, the water takes the strain and it does tone you, our instructor tells us to only do as much as we are happy with so if you have problems in certain areas you can do the easier level and not feel you are not keeping up with everyone, and if the weather is terrible it doesnt matter.

mrshat well done, having something to work towards helps, I dont think you will have a problem losing that in the time you have. smile

this week 8lb
Challenge total 3st 4lb 11oz

Grannylin Tue 11-Jun-13 20:59:35

Put on 2lbs went on went on holiday 2 weeks ago but have managed to get rid of it...but still hovering around 10st.
Tegan What about trying Nordic walking poles?Got mine from Amazon and I try and do 30 mins a day ( small fry compared with Greatnan)they don't make me lose weight but tone up arms, tum, boobs and I look and feel as though I have smile

Tegan Tue 11-Jun-13 20:37:00

Well, I do seem to be losing weight gradually but, as ever, I'm losing it from my top half which then results in me being even more pear shaped. I tried some clothes on at M&S today and looked awful in the mirror [not that anyone ever looks good in them]. And my skin is sooo flabby and it's not easy to tighten it when you get older sad. I think any weight loss needs to be gradual but I don't know how I can step up the exercise or get more toned.

Hello everyone - I managed to get rid of the pound I put on last week so I'm now back to 12st11.5lbs again. I would really like to get to, or below 12st.7lbs by August. We are going to my sister's 50th wedding anniversary 'do' and I would like to wear the outfit I wore to my daughter's wedding 2.5 years ago - I have not fitted into it since!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! plus, it is the only half decent thing in my wardrobe! grin

grannyK I am pleased you are feeling better in yourself, and that your back on track smile

GrannyK Tue 11-Jun-13 10:33:36

Hoping I am back on track again. Didn't actually lose any weight but did stay ( pretty much ! ) within the 1200 calorie MFP guidelines every day. Lack of weight loss is probably because I didn't have the time to do usual pilates class or much weekend gardening. Am expecting (!) to do better this week as I should be able to fit both those in again . Certainly feeling more normal and less despondent !

jane well done smile
tegan have you tried to have a scrambled or poached egg when you are wanting something at night it keeps you full longer,or you could try a light cracker with a light laughing cow cheese triangle. I will have a look for some other suggestions for you.
move every little bit wink
nellie flowers its not much of a gain so put it behind you, its difficult to be good when you are not feeling on top.
anno the way your loosing I dont think you will have any problem getting 1/2 stone off for your GD graduation.
notso back on track again smile

this week 5lb
Challenge total 3st 1lb 11oz

janeainsworth Mon 10-Jun-13 19:43:26

Made some progress in the right direction thank goodness.
Lost 700g from last week, 63.5kg now smile

Nelliemoser Mon 10-Jun-13 14:27:41

Anno You sure need something like yeast extract to give Cracker bread a bit of flavour! Its full of air otherwise. grin

Elegran Mon 10-Jun-13 13:57:01

Tegan I think digestive biscuits are full of sugar.

M & S have some black olive flatbreads which are rather nice - crunchy rather than the grilled cardboard effect of Ryvita, and with bits of black olive in them so you can eat them without a topping. Tesco used to sell them too, but now they are "not available" As theirs were always shattered into fragments I think their handling systems were too much for the crisp flatbreads.

Tegan Mon 10-Jun-13 12:59:27

Oh; are crackerbread a bit softer than Ryvita? I could have them with some low sugar jam.

Tegan Mon 10-Jun-13 12:58:23

I'm not sure that my teeth are up to Ryvita; I tend to eat rice cakes a lot now I'm not eating bread but I have them for lunch. I could get some digestive biscuits but I find them a bit moreish and I'd probably end up eating the whole packet.

annodomini Mon 10-Jun-13 12:41:50

Tegan, Ryvita make Crackerbread - only 19 calories apiece and I like to have a couple with low fat soft cheese and Vegemite. Or have some slices of cucumber or tomato on them.

Movedalot Mon 10-Jun-13 11:57:49

Tegan do you like fruit? I nibble on nice fruit in the evenings, probably far too much. Last night it was cherries but there is so much to choose from at this time of year. If you don't care for the fruit how about a couple of ryvita and marmite?

Tegan Mon 10-Jun-13 11:04:51

I don't seem to be losing any weight [although I did lose a couple of kg over the past couple of weeks] but my eating has improved and I'm feeling much better in myself [weather probably has a lot to do with it as well]. Still eating a huge salad at night with watercress, tiny bit of smoked salmon, egg, avocado, grated carrot, cucumber, tomato and beetroot. The carrot means I have to chew it a lot so I feel as if I've eaten a loads. Going to cut out those biscuits after tomorrow, but they did help stop me nibbling last thing at night. I need to think of something to replace them with, though; something tasty and slightly indulgent that I can look forward to when I'm feeling hungry in the evening. I found that having lots of soup just made me feel bloated but still hungry.

Movedalot Mon 10-Jun-13 10:40:54

What a good lot you are! Lost 0.2lbs! Hardly worth reporting.

Nelliemoser Mon 10-Jun-13 09:52:21

Lost the plot last week. 57.8 up to 58.2 kg. I missed a fast day, consumed a whole tube of Pringles in two evenings etc.
Feeling decrepit with health issues is my excuse! Not a good excuse but there you are.

annodomini Mon 10-Jun-13 09:23:10

I forgot to post last week but can report another 2lbs gone. The 5:2 diet is easy and effective. I would like to lose at least another half stone before GD's graduation on July 18th. And then go on losing for another stone.

Notso Mon 10-Jun-13 08:47:02

Another happy bunny here....after a dodgy start, I've lost 2lbs this week smile

The reunion thingy I'm going to is just under 3 weeks away and my aim is to lose another half a stone by then.

Good luck everyone!

glassortwo Mon 10-Jun-13 08:25:23

Well done ginny its a good feeling hitting that first target sunshine

ginny Mon 10-Jun-13 08:23:00

Feeling quite pleased today. I have now lost my first half stone. I can't say it has been easy but I will carry on.
Hope others have had a good week.

glassortwo Mon 10-Jun-13 08:20:50

Morning everyone. Hope you have all had a good week, looking forward to seeing all your results. smile
