Are you all ready for the first week of the New year weigh in.

I have had a good week so I hope for a few pounds off on Tuesday.

Good luck sunshine

Nonu I don't use salt in any cooking - there's none in the house….

Note to self:

Do NOT attempt any fast cardio on day after fast day, especially first thing in morning hmm

Good point AKA. I still like the 5:2 diet and I am sticking to it. 53.8 this am after a fast day yesterday. 8stone 6lbs. not been there for years. grin

Wow Nellie why do you need to diet at that weight....or are you only 4' 6"?

You can't tell from Nellie's photos Aka but I would like to be 9st 6lbs and, like you, back in my size 12 jeans, however, completely blew it today!! Out for post Xmas lunch with the walking group to Za Za Bazaar's, a buffet style restaurant; ate far too much, even though it was the least fattening of the vast selection of food available. Even had a small soft scoop ice cream, how weak willed am I?? Back to 500 calories tomorrow, and the next day probably, to get back to where I was.

I was heavy for my height of 5' 1" and I am small framed. It was not dreadfully overweight but it did not sit well on me. My BMI was 25.3 and rising . I was always about 8 st 4lb when in my 30s as I suppose were most people at that age.

Look at it this way! On non fast days I can now eat lots more cheese and crackers, bombay mix, puddings, ice cream and not get fatter. I will just get to the point of a maintenance diet.

Talking of sprouts.....my DD2 makes a really good sproutslaw....grated raw sprouts, bit of grated carrot & onion, few pine nuts, splodge of mayo and a few shakes of lemon juice. It tastes lovely and nutty and nothing like cooked sprouts. (Still gives you wind though grin)

I've made the green soup and it tastes delicious [although I'm going to put some bio yoghurt in it to make it a bit more creamy]. Went to get the sprouts from the freezer and they'd all gone shock; turns out the S.O. ate them. Put a bit of broccoli in as well [along with peas]. Shall see what effect it has on me on a not going out day, although going to the gym tomorrow [that could be interesting].
