Ohhhh good morning Monday how do you come around so quickly.

Well the sunshine has arrived here, and makes you think of your wardrobe filled with all those summery clothes are you going to get into them...now is the time to do something about it and have a good chance of being able to wear those flimsy things and not have to cover up.

A lovely thought to start the week glass smile

I've lost another pound this week. It's taken 8 weeks to lose 7lbs, which is pretty slow going....but at least it's going.

Good luck everyone!

Aka Mon 10-Mar-14 09:01:45

I'll hang on to that thought when tempted glass. Haven't reported in for a few weeks as stayed the same but shed 1lb last week. I'm going down slowly but so long as it is down that's fine by me.
Think it helps that I've been able to get out at last and do some heavy digging in the garden and allotment.

Stayed the same this week so I think I need to increase my calorie intake for a few days. I know this sounds counter-intuitive, but it's what worked for me in the past. I think I have a metabolism that quickly adapts to a low calorie diet and to increase my metabolism I need to switch to a higher calorie intake and then drop it again. I'll let you know next week how I get on. smile

It is so satisfying to see the pointer settle below 10st and not above it. I would still like to lose a few more pounds but if I can just maintain 9st 12lb I'll be happy. Not been here for years! grin

Oh, dear I seem to have got stuck. At least I haven't put any on. Hopefully I'll have a good week. Good luck all.

Dreadful week ! Was totally stressed for various reasons and completely ignored Paul McK 's wise words in "Emotional Eating" especially at the weekend , as a result of which I am not going to weigh myself today - simply do not dare ! Was at the highest weight I had been all year last week , can't imagine what I might be now without getting very depressed . Someone say something helpful - urgently , please !!!!

Gally Tue 11-Mar-14 10:21:22

In the same position GK. Just put it all behind you and regroup. Think of a day in the future when you need to be looking good and aim for it. Mine involves being in a swimsuit at the beginning of May when staying with a friend who is a skinny malinky - puts it all in perspective shock

grannyactivist Tue 11-Mar-14 10:44:59

GK Forget what happened at the weekend and just get back on track today. Try to stop imaging what you weigh now and start thinking about what you will weigh by a particular date and aim for that. flowers

Galen Tue 11-Mar-14 10:45:48

Despite trying hard, another half pound on. This is getting silly!

Gally Tue 11-Mar-14 11:17:54

Galen Perhaps you are building up weighty muscle through your archery activities!! grin

rosesarered Tue 11-Mar-14 11:44:37

My bathroom scales are hopeless, they veer wildly from one weight to another so I have decided to opt for the lower weight[ha!] Also for some reason I weigh less with my slippers on, I suspect they are having fun at my expense.grin

Galen Tue 11-Mar-14 11:52:24

Gally may be something in that. I'm still in the same size slacks skirts etc, it's across my shoulders and pecs. Hadn't thought of thatblush but I'm not giving it it up. It gives purpose to my Sundays and when the weathers fine, it's glorious in that field surrounded by farmland with lambs in one field, cows in another, the birds singing away and a bitterly cold wind!

Gally Tue 11-Mar-14 12:14:22

....and it's keeping you fit, active and healthy!

glassortwo Tue 11-Mar-14 12:48:39

Just a quick drop in after my lunch and will come back later andlook at all the posts.

grannyK today is a new day, just leave the rest behind and start again.

Focus on where you want to be this time next week, and take it a step at a time and you can do it. I am an emotional eater so I know what you are going through, I have to do something with my hands when I feel the need to fill that gap with food.
We can do this together, I have started again today this time next week we will be 1 step closer, might just be a small steps but every little bit helps sunshine

GrannyK Tue 11-Mar-14 15:32:07

Thank you, ladies ! One step at a time and all that . Today is so far so good!
Hope it stays that way ......

rosesarered Wed 12-Mar-14 11:29:27

Last night I discovered a half box of Elizabeth Shaw choc mints in the cupboard! Afraid to say that 2 of them didn't live to tell the tale.

Aka Wed 12-Mar-14 11:33:03

Two? Half a box?

They need to be finished off pronto so they don't tempt you into eating them hmm

rosesarered Wed 12-Mar-14 11:36:40

Have firmly put them in the back of the cupboard! I shall now endeavor to forget them.DH just come home with large bag of fresh croissants though so temptation starts again.Sigh.

Aka Wed 12-Mar-14 11:39:04

Kitchen out of bounds due to bright orange, DPM just laid which takes 17 hours to dry. Off out for lunch ... I will be good, I will be good, I will try to be good....

mrshat Wed 12-Mar-14 20:26:36

12stone 3.5lbs this week, lost 1 pound I think. It is slow but it is gradually getting there. Another 3.5lbs to my target (and then I need to set a new one!) Keep going everyone grin

glassortwo Sat 15-Mar-14 10:12:59

rose grin hope they are well hidden.
aka did you manage to make good choices, difficult when you are out to eat.
Well done mrshat another 1lb off. smile

I have had a good week so far, but its the weekends when things go to bits, so I have to reign in as its my 1st weigh in on Tuesday since I rejoined again last Tuesday. Going away again in May with my two sisters so that should keep me focused.

glassortwo Sat 15-Mar-14 10:13:27

grannyK how are thing going?

cazthebookworm Sat 15-Mar-14 10:26:47

Disappointed, but not unexpected, put on one and a half lbs this week, the down side of staying with friends who like their food. I did try to be good and despite a 6 mile walk for excercise, am paying the price now. Back to calorie counting today and in control again, hopefully better news next week. Rockgran, I am still jealous but will emulate you one day!!

glassortwo Sat 15-Mar-14 10:42:40

caz did you enjoy your break? Draw a line under it and start again smile
