I am still standing on one leg when I clean my teeth, you can steady yourself with a finger on the sink if you wobble a bit. Right leg in the morning, left at night.
Also play tennis and swim weekly. I still work and that involves a lot of getting up and sitting down, good for those thigh muscles.
I do find that, as happened last week, if I have to climb a steep hill or a huge flight of steps it’s so interesting to keep stopping for a ‘look at the view’?
Annie, you can lift weights sitting watching television, start with a small item and work up. As has been mentioned if your knees aren’t too painful just put a stool in front of the chair and keep lifting your feet on and off. Every little helps!
