Anya yes, double trouble!

However, they are too young to be making a nuisance of themselves on GN - and too nice!

Rhett Butler's famous line comes to mind in 'Gone with the Wind' grin

rosequartz Thu 12-Feb-15 18:06:45

'Gone with the Wind' - leaving behind the distinct aroma of old plimsolls grin

It would appear that my advice to Liza80 fell on stony ground! grin

Mind you, walking over stony ground with splits in the soles of you pumps/daps/plimsolls could be a tad uncomfortable!

loopylou Thu 12-Feb-15 19:00:01

Was going to write something more Anglo Saxon ...... smile

annodomini Thu 12-Feb-15 19:03:39

Do you think she still believes that we believe her? hmm

Anne58 Thu 12-Feb-15 22:09:44

Hmm, tough one anno grin

I was slightly surprised by the capital "L" , but of course that could be just me!

(Dons helmet and flack jacket and stays under the desk waiting for either nothing or a severe ticking off!)

A local 'Academy' has- recently been sending some pupils home for not wearing 'regulation' shoes, or placing them in isolation!
I know 'rules are rules' , but can't help comparing this with my American friend's Granddaughter who wears bright yellow and green trainers for school with no ill effects whatsoever on her Eduation!
I'm glad the rules weren't quite so strict when my daughters attended the same 'Academy' when it was just an ordinary Comprehensive school.

Why can't this thread be allowed to lie down and die peacefully? <sigh>

rosequartz Fri 13-Feb-15 17:57:43

Let it sink below the Plimsoll line.

You know drawing a line under it never works! grin

Soutra Fri 13-Feb-15 18:00:43

And Soontobe could give it a Christian burial.smile

annodomini Fri 13-Feb-15 19:00:05

Ana Fri 13-Feb-15 19:02:46

There could be a brisk rendition of 'Jerusalem'. And did those feet...etc.

Soutra Fri 13-Feb-15 19:18:44

And did those feet
In old plimsoll shoes. . . .
Oh noshock!!!

sherish Fri 13-Feb-15 19:33:51

Is she hoping someone will offer her a great pair of substantial school shoes perhaps? What other reason can there be for her to come on here bleating about plimsolls?

Ana Fri 13-Feb-15 19:35:02

And did those feet
In ancient dabs...grin

jinglbellsfrocks Fri 13-Feb-15 19:41:55

jinglbellsfrocks Fri 13-Feb-15 19:42:40

I hope the child isn't really suffering. Worrying.
