Feeling sad

For the last six years we have sent Christmas and birthday presents to our grandsons, lovingly chosen and wrapt. I received a message from SIL last week telling us not to do this as they would just be binned. It was like being kicked in the stomach and brought it all back. I’ve not told my OH, so have been dwelling on it.

How can two people be so cruel?

If an AC is being "controlled" by a partner there is often very little that a parent can do other than be there if the AC needs them, asks for helps, sees their situation for what it is ?
