Ah diddums are the consequences of your actions catching up with you?

A change of heart is needed! You need to face up to your own actions and stop acting as the only victim.

Harry: "I want my Father back. I want my brother back‘
Accusing your brother of attacking you is a great way to go about achieving that.

I Meghan was shown to be innocent, that would change the narrative in the press about her wouldn't it? hmm

maddyone Thu 05-Jan-23 00:51:18

What we do know is that Buckingham Palace instigated an inquiry into the allegations made by staff with regard to Meghan. Why would they do that? Was there an inquiry as to whether Charles pulled a sink off the wall? No, thought not!
The Palace plays its cards close and will not disclose the results of the inquiry, although if Meghan was shown to be innocent it justifies the question, why not publish the conclusions?

Zoejory Thu 05-Jan-23 00:47:03

If a person believes everything that is written about *Meghan ...

The only things I believe about Meghan is what has come out of her own mouth on TV. In interviews. And believe me, there's a lot out there.

imaround Thu 05-Jan-23 00:09:27

Actually, I do not believe Charles pulled a sink off the wall, nor do I believe Meghan bullied staff.

This IS a good example of how the press manipulates people.

If a person believes everything that is written about Meghan, but refuses to believe everything written about Charles (or anyone else), that person is hypocritical.

I don't believe anything without actual proof. Until I see the physical report, I don't believe it.

Well here is the latest headline, presumably leaked by Mandela's granddaughter. Quote:
Nelson Mandela’s granddaughter accuses Harry and Meghan of ‘stealing’ the anti-apartheid icon's words in Netflix show 'to make millions' – and says she doesn't believe the Sussexes 'ever properly met' him.

Also said by Ms Mandela:

I admire Harry for having the confidence to break away from an institution as iconic as the Royal Family. Grandad rebelled against an arranged marriage to find his own path in life.

I know the Nelson Mandela Foundation has supported the initiative.

I hope anybody making any documentary about a historic person realises that they are not allowed to quote them, because that (apparently) would be "stealing their words".

Read the article. You are quoting out of context.
Ndileka warned: 'Harry needs to be authentic and stick to his own story, what relevance does grandad's life have with his?
'I don't believe he nor Meghan have ever properly met granddad, maybe when Harry was young at Buckingham Palace, but they are using his quotations in the documentary to draw in people and make millions without the Mandela family benefiting'.

However we’ve had Netflix at some of our rentals here in New Zealand

envy

Callistemon21 Wed 04-Jan-23 23:51:31

Reminder to self - cancel Netflix

Joseanne Wed 04-Jan-23 23:49:24

I think if I were currently in sunny New Zealand maddyone I wouldn't be going anywhere near M & H's Netflix series. Back here on cold wintery evenings it passed the time though!!

maddyone Wed 04-Jan-23 23:42:43

Actually Callistemon I couldn’t watch it even if I wanted to as we don’t have Netflix grin
However we’ve had Netflix at some of our rentals here in New Zealand but when the Harry and Meghan series was advertised I’m afraid I gave it a wide berth. I suspect it would be like watching paint dry. Perhaps watching paint dry would be more interesting even.

Unfortunately, there are people who believe The Crown is true as well, maddyone, then post fiction as facts. 😲

Yes Callistemon that would appear to true.
Personally I enjoy films and programmes about true events and I also enjoy purely fictional films, but I dislike any attempts to mix up the two as they are different genres.

Callistemon21 Wed 04-Jan-23 23:37:15

I watched a couple of episodes and thought it was rubbish, maddyone

However, reviews may vary 😀

maddyone Wed 04-Jan-23 23:33:04

Incidentally everything portrayed in The Crown is NOT true. It is based on truth with a large dollop of poetic license, in other words untruth. It has been reported that the American audience don’t understand this and think it is purely fact. Obviously I don’t know what the American audience think or don’t think but possibly the incident about Charles pulling a sink off the wall may well be speculation perhaps engendered by the series. I’ve never seen the series as I would prefer it to be a factual representation if I were to watch it. I don’t want to watch fiction pretending to be fact.

merlotgran Wed 04-Jan-23 23:22:12

I can’t imagine Charles being strong enough to pull a sink off the wall

Aah….but if it were a stinking sink! 🤣

Apologies if I'm wrong.

How was the victim of a child sex trafficking ring paid of by Prince Andrew?

The Queen paid the woman twelve million pound’s apparently. It was not tax payers money. That doesn’t mean that I approve of the Queen’s actions but what I do approve of is the truth so perhaps it might be an idea to get the facts straight before reporting untruths.

Smileless2012 Wed 04-Jan-23 23:11:05

I don't think that H &M have brought any shame on the RF. The only people they've shamed are themselves.

PoppyBlue Wed 04-Jan-23 23:04:12

Harry did what he thought was best for his wife and his kids. He saw history repeating itself and took his family away. He got his own side out over the twisted media. Jeremy Clarksons vile column proves their point.

PA is what he is.

I cant image H&M could bring as much shame as an alleged pedophile.

Mollygo Wed 04-Jan-23 22:40:03

And PA. has what to do with Harry’s statements?

PoppyBlue Wed 04-Jan-23 22:31:26

Callistemon21 Wed 04-Jan-23 22:26:35

No taxpayers' money was paid.

So much fake news on this thread.

PoppyBlue Wed 04-Jan-23 22:25:10

Ghislaine Maxwell is behind bars for Child sex trafficking charges yet no ones been charged.
No one.

But The Royals spent, £16m I think? of Taxpayers money, Or near abouts to pay off an alleged sex trafficking victim of Andrews at Epsietn's Island.

Callistemon21 Wed 04-Jan-23 22:08:57

& Maxwell being scented to 20 years in prison for sex trafficking minors too no one
How much of Taxpayers money was spent again?

confused

Don't understand, sorry.

PoppyBlue Wed 04-Jan-23 22:01:55

Love Harry and Meghan, always have.
The Media tore them apart because they were the scapegoat.

Williams alleged affair which is why he fell out with Harry.

& Maxwell being scented to 20 years in prison for sex trafficking minors too no one.
How much of Taxpayers money was spent again?

But Harry and Meghan, how very dare they.

Callistemon21 Wed 04-Jan-23 21:47:41

tickingbird

Who’s ‘Dickie’? I can’t imagine Charles being strong enough to pull a sink off the wall but what if he did? At least he’s hands on with the renovating.

Reducing staff to quivering wrecks and leaving multiple aides in tears over a short period of time with her bullying trumps sink removal in my book.

Don't worry about it, tickingbird

It was apparently made up by producers of The Crown!!

Dickie Arbiter worked for the royal family for 12 years, from 1988 until 2000, including as the Queen's press secretary and in the Wales' media department. In that time he built a close personal and professional relationship with Charles and Diana. He told Times Radio yesterday that Prince Charles had been painted as 'a villain' by the excessive 'dramatic licence' employed by The Crown's head writer and producer, Peter Morgan

It’s not a documentary, it’s not history,' he said. 'It’s a drama and it’s taken dramatic licence excessively and it’s made the Prince of Wales a villain.

'He’s not a villain. He never has been a villain and he [Peter Morgan] has made Diana a victim . . . He’s portrayed characters whom I don’t know. I spent 12 years at the palace, I knew everybody there and these are not the people I knew.'

This is how these fallacious stories spread.
