I am feeling bored so just started this thread to have a little rant t.

Just the word celebrity is enough to put me off any programme .
And when abbreviated to celeb my negative feelings intensify .

I didn’t mean to quote Bluebelle, it should have been Humduh, who has posted strange comments on a few old threads and is probably not a person.

Having seen Margot Fonteyn dance convincingly the role of a 14 year old Juliet with Rudolf Nureyev at the Royal Opera House when she was around 50, and she continued to dance the part for some years after. her last performance on stage was in her 60s.

There are, and always have been professional dancers dancing well into old age. Angela Rippon comes into mind.

All I can say is that this Anne-Marie, who ever she may be, sounds rather ignorant and stupid

I don’t watch Celebrity gogglebox because I m totally fed up with ‘ celebrities’ getting their fingers in every pie it’s very boring
I think AnneMarie for the most part comes across as a nice person quite feeling with a good voice I very much doubt if Tom Jones would be shocked I didn’t realise AnneMarie had had Botox mind you I think Toms probably had plenty, still a good looking man and still a great singer

What you have to realise is language changes and fxxx is not a swear word at all to the younger generation it’s the equivalent of us saying ‘bother’ it’s a very normal exclamation nothing at all to be shocked about

Hard to avoid distasteful stuff in life as well as on the box. Low times before which was low with no work...and was told by ppl who work that they don't feel low and am confused are they lying about being at work or being silly...

I saw a short preview of Ann Marie and she was with Ed Sheeran not sure but it might be for some new Celebrity Gogglebox.
I like the Voice it may come back on in the autumn.
I wish I had half the energy that Bonnie Langford has she is a lucky lady.

I know who Tom Jones is, but who sat next to him I don't. Bonnie Langford has been in showbiz a long time.
I switched of Celebrity Gogglebox as I was bored. Prefer Below Deck Mediterranean. Now that is fun, and it makes me laugh...

I watched The Masked Singer and I was totally surprised when Bonnie Langford revealed herself. She did perform like a much younger person, and that isn't being ageist it's just admitting that out of the people who can do the splits at 20, there are a lot less by 50.
I don't mind a bit of swearing.
I didn't know who was with Tom Jones (and I'm not sure he did)

Why does this Anne-Marie (another one who has never heard of her) think Tom Jones should swear more?

He seems to have done quite well without her advice so far.

Ann-Marie is a vacuous singer with pink hair and a limited vocabulary who has been partnered with Tom Jones to do the Gogglebox show.He smiles a lot and looks embarrassed by her every utterance.
The only intelligent and humorous offerings on the show come from Gyles Brandreth and Maureen Lipman.
Celebrity Gogglebox isn’t a patch on the normal show.

I suppos if you call the croaky sore throat style of wailing (àlà Adele) singing? Very very few so called singers can actually sing nowadays, and I only know Anne Marie cos she was on a show the other night, surprised she can sing at all with all that bloody Botox she's had pumped into her fizzog!!!
