Does anyone remember creamola foam?

sugar mice with string for tails-you could hold them by their tails and eat them. On love hearts, my daughter spread them on the tables at her wedding reception but took out the really rude ones.

How can I have forgotten so many of the delicious sweets of my youth?? Thanks Gransnet for reminding me...do remember penny arrow bars too and making Ginger Beer by putting hard liquorish into a bottle, topping up with water and shaking for hours ha ha.

Hi there Gals
Does anyone remember Khali (or kayley, or kahli) can't remember how it was spelt, but we used to get 2 ozs of it in little bags and it was just like sherbert dabs, but without the dabs. You could make drinks out of it too. Oh the joys of Liquorice Wood.

Is this what you found, grannypiper? I really want some now (pouts and stamps feet a la Verucca Salt). And some kayli.

The foam shrimps mentioned earlier are still on sale everywhere, including Tesco and Sainsburys. I only know because I made a monkey themed birthday cake for DGS2 last week and googled the old foam bananas. They come in mixed bags, so I was forced to eat an awful lot of leftover pink shrimps blush

This thread is six years old - and I still have no idea what Creamola Foam is!

i think it was a drink like cream soda. I am sure someone else will know.

Here it is on wikipedia, but the article apparently has "multiple issues", so don't take its word for anything!

I'd forgotten it was in a little tin, with a paper seal. I feel quite nostalgic remembering how we'd lever off the lid with a teaspoon or a coin. I absolutely loved it, and now I'm wondering if this ties in with the other thread I've been on today, spouting about how I had to pay out to have tooth veneers fitted to cover my horrible, damaged front teeth.

Worth it though grin
