for one of the nicest and meatiest sausage to be had, try the bratwurst on sale in aldi. i know they are a german sausage, but these people know a thing or two about sausage. for an even better result, dry cook them in a halogen oven. hmmm.

That's a good question janeainsworth.

We don't prick them nowadays do we? I know that is to keep all the meat juices in, but it must keep a lot of the fat in too. I don't think there would be much in it when they are cooked tbh.

Love (certain) sausages too and eat them most weeks. Haven't a clue how many calories, or what the fat content is! Good with cauliflower cheese smile

Another Lurpak fan. I eat it every day, the unsalted variety. It's definitely a 'summer' butter – in winter I have to keep it by the Rayburn just to keep it soft enough to spread easily.

I don't know if this is classed as advertising but if you google Joe's sausages you will find sausages that are syn free at Slimming World and they are delicious.

What?

Duh

Depends on how you cook them. Griddling or grilling is rather better than shallow-frying. If it's just an occasional meal, I really don't think you should worry. By coincidence, we're having bangers and mash too. Enjoy smile.

I would assume that it is before then you can tuck in with a clear conscience!

With the onset of winter, I feel like eating comfort food and so we are having sausage and mash for tea.
The sausages (Co-op truly irresistible British pork) claim to have 12.5g of fat and 163 calories per sausage.
Is this before or after I have cooked them and a lot of fat has run out?
