Not cereal with milk because I don't need that much dietary roughage just at the moment (IBS).

More home-made chocolate brownie with thick cream, which is what I had for brekkie number one at 0630...? Nah, I might have some more of that later.

I know: finger rolls (bought for Minibags for her hot dog sausages but which she isn't eating) with salt beef and some home-made chutney a friend gave me. Yes.

You?

Bread and cheese is good, ancient, wholesome lunch time food.

1rather of bacon and an egg cooked in nonstick frying pan with no added fat. For some unknown reason this will keep me going until 2ish when I'll have home made asparagus soup. Bought a catering size bag of seconds for £6 so have a freezer well stocked with soup!

I like 2 breakfasts on a Saturday - first one at 6 was mushrooms and fried egg. Now I'm scoffing some kind of dried fruit bar that I brought back from holiday . Satifyingly sweet !

Protein keeps you full longer than carbs. Look at the animal world. Meat eaters eat every few days, or longer, grass eaters/grazers have to eat constantly.

What good timing coming across this topic when I was deciding the same thing - have 2 breakfasts most days (of course doing jobs in between - sometimes!)
Think the fruity tealoaf is shouting out to be toasted then butter and jam on.

I started LCHF last year.My first breakfast was bacon, egg tomatoes and mushrooms fried in butter.I thought I had died and gone to heaven.I did lose weight and I was eating what I wanted. Not carbs though.Another benefit My IBS disappeared after 5 years of suffering..That was the best thing as some times I couldn't go out.I found this on Diabetes uk I clicked on Dr Diet and I couldn't believe what I read.If you want to lose weight without going hungry you could do worse..Good luck

My first breakfast at 03.15 consisted of just plain white bread and butter. I usually have cheese in toast or a sandwich of some sort or, if I'm feeling wealthy, I buy a sausage sandwich from the local butcher. (A nice fresh bread roll with four or so thin links of sausage, cooked to perfection) for my second breakfast which I usually eat between 07.30 and 0800. That's when I sit down and say Good Morning!?

Slice of homemade wholemeal bread (40g) toasted, spread with 15g Whole Earth Crunchy peanut butter, topped with 1 banana mashed with squeeze of lemon juice, a goodly shake of cinnamon, ginger and ground cloves and 5g each of pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds and walnuts. Heaven! wink

Two slices of toast with my mate Marmite. Couldn't face the granola today - too much of an uphill struggle! I will be good and have some fruit shortly.

Apple crumble!...with or without custard, works for me.

jinglbellsfrocks Sat 21-May-16 19:10:56

Today I have eaten:

Bowl of porridge (no sugar or lovely delicious golden syrup) [halo]
Three slices of toast with marmite. [halo still shining]
4 Welsh cakes [halo slipped]
2 buttercream cakes from Church Spring Fair [halo gone]
Bowl of Angel Delight with little pot of jelly, from same Spring Fair [no further talk of halos]

Five breakfasts. Time for tea. smile

More warm Birthday cake and Ovaltine (not had this for years) for supper.

Delicious. cupcake
