I used to love watching all the new cookery programmes but now gone completely off them. I can't get into Tom kerridge new one or the hairy bikers Mediterranean and Rick steins Mexico. the only one I do watch when they are on is master chef / pro mc......not the celeb one. ...Think I must be bored with them lol....

DH and I went to Jamie's in Harrogate last time we were there. We waited ages, and it was rather noisy. The pizza was good though.

In dry January, I would loved to have seen one cookery programme that didn't slosh alcohol into dishes and also offered recommendations for some interesting, non-alcoholic drinks to accompany the food.

I had no issues with the food at Jamie’s in Oxford; the problem was with the waitress who came and gave us chapter and verse on just about every dish on the menu until we all thought we would just expire from starvation before she got to the end!!

We love the cookery programmes, watch lots of them and we get a lot of inspiration from them. I’ve definì gone off Nigella though, way too much lip licking and sultry looks to camera.

The night we were in Jamies Oxford restaurant Gennaro Contaldo was in the kitchen ..we did think we might have had a decent meal but alas not .Despite the full camera coverage of everything going on IN the kitchen the food was still inedible GreydusterLike I mentioned my complaint was ignored by staff and the letter I sent .

I agree with you, paddyann, DH and I went to the Jamie's Italian in York a few years ago now, and although we didn't have the long wait, the food was not that great, and no garlic bread available, only breadsticks! (Maybe that was a one off, but honestly, an Italian restaurant and no garlic bread available)! ?
