I see you gave in to the temptation, Gonegirl. I do hope you got your mitigating circumstances all sorted out beforehand.

Chocolate or cake.

All home made food. Anything. Everything. Any homemade food when I’m really hungry and especially when I’m ill will make me feel better. I would never ever starve to death while my nose still smells a delicious homemade meal....

Baked potato with cheese.
Fresh French stick with melting Brie or Camembert.
In fact anything with cheese, think I must have been a mouse in a previous existence.

Fresh, thickly sliced white loaf - a bloomer is my favourite - toasted and spread with as much real butter as I can get on it . I might add, this is a very rare treat!

Cheese and onion crisp sandwiches on white bread and butter.

Like Septimia, bread and milk, liberally sprinkled with demerara sugar. This was always the cure for any childhood upset and it still works for me today.

I hated it, too slimy. Ugh.

Soft boiled eggs in egg cups with buttered soldiers followed by syrup sponge and custard

Marmalade on toast or crumpets and marmalade.

Oops just had supper. ...now I am hungry again

Good old fashioned steak and kidney pudding made from scratch with plenty of gravy and mash

Tesco sourdough (no other comes close) thickly sliced with masses of Lurpak right up to the edges

Mashed potato, cheese on toast, soup and pasta in any shape or form.

Fish fingers, mashed potato and peas or bangers, mash peas and gravy !

Delicious granary bread from the bakery spread with lemon curd.
My DS loved a sandwich with two quarters peanut butter and two lemon curd.

It would have to be a lovely jam sandwich!!

Ham and chip butties with loads of butter. Heaven on a plate

Bacon sandwich with brown sauce. Lovely.

For me it's broccoli every time. Lightly cooked and tossed in butter.
I can eat a whole head of it to myself.

I remember 'pobs' - always had that when I was sick.
Not slimy though as Mum made all her own bread and with warm milk and honey it always made me feel better.

Cheese on really thick toast with HP sauce or coffee & walnut cake (or both!)

The other temptation is chocolate -not good.

A large plate of golden brown real chips with loads of salt and HP brown sauce ? with a slice of white bread spread with a generous amount of butter. I taste a chip buttie coming on......
