What's everyone having for dinner?

Veggie chilli followed by homemade yogurt and baked spiced apple.

Thai green curry (chicken) made from scratch by me.

A super-thick soup, with red lentils, pearl barley and lots of different veggies, plus two very dried up rashers of bacon I found lurking at the back of the fridge.

Turkey and chorizo risotto for which I’ll have to open a bottle of white......ah well ?

I made a tomato and rice soup for lunch and a fish pie for tea. I am already planning what to make for tomorrow I adore cooking.

Chicken sausages, mash and beans, a regular here.

Vegetable casserole and rice

The other half of the macaroni cheese I made yesterday---always heavy-handed with the ingredients, so in the oven it goes to heat up. It was a large casserole dish I'll do some streaky bacon with it.

Tonight one of my favourite dishes. Home made bacon, leek and mushroom pasta with Creme Fraiche. It's quick, easy and delicious. Apple crumble and Greek yoghurt to follow.

Last night was homemade chilli.

Tonight homemade pizza with potato wedges.

Tuna pasta bake.

Had a tiring cleaning bathrooms day, so a cheese omelette and salad this evening.

Tonight one of my favourite dishes. Home made bacon, leek and mushroom pasta with Creme Fraiche. It's quick, easy and delicious. Apple crumble and Greek yoghurt to follow.

The pasta dish I mean.

We’re having beautiful pork and apple sauce courtesy of Donald Russel butchers from Inverurie with baby new potatoes and vegetables.

Salmon fillet topped with peppers and tomatoes, baked in the oven and served with pickled red cabbage.

Something with our butchers own sausages, they are still on the worktop looking at me suspiciously?????

Lemongrove My dish of bacon, leek, mushroom and pasta with Creme Fraiche is a recipe I made up a long time ago. I'll give you the recipe and quantities I use for myself.
4 pieces of smoked streaky bacon, cut into small pieces
1 leek, cleaned and chopped
4/5 Chestnut mushrooms, cleaned and chopped.
Creme Fraiche
1 ramekin of pasta, your choice.
Put pasta to cook for 10 minutes.
Dry fry bacon til half cooked, add leeks and mushrooms and continue to cook until the bacon is properly cooked and veg. softened. Drain the pasta, add to pan, season with black pepper, if liked.
Add 2 dessertspoons of Creme Fraiche, stir to coat all ingredients. Enjoy!
I usually have a second vegetable as a side, with this meal. Garlic is nice in the mix too, if liked.

Salmon baked with a little butter, lime juice and parsley with baked tomatoes, peas and a jacket potato.

Chicken casserole with rice.

One of the pies I made and froze, with leftover Christmas turkey mixed with leeks and mushrooms. With that we had new potatoes, carrots, peas and sweetcorn. And lots of gravy. And a glass of well-chilled Sauvignon Blanc.
