Cooking sausages under an electric grill

This is really an enquiry on DD's behalf. I hope that is allowed.

She has just replaced an all gas cooker with a dual fuel cooker, which means an electric grill. When ever she grills sausages under the grill, the fat spatters, hits the grill elements andwhich then burn it producing lots of smoke. Something the gas grill didn't do.

Does anyone else grill sausages under an electric grill and how do they deal with the clouds of smoke this produces?

I used to have dissatisfaction with cooking sausages. Never grilled them but fried them which browned the outside but the inside was a problem so used to cook them in the oven with the outsides not as brown as I liked but inside well cooked. Now I can cook them just as I like them with my Ninja air fryer. They cook through and look really good.

All this talk of sausages makes me hungry. Today is Good Friday. I don’t usually eat meat on Fridays especially not Good Friday. I might treat myself to Sausage and Chips tomorrow.

Airfryer mostly every time..........not that we have sausage very often. Occasionally cook them in the oven if it is on for other things and then the sausages are in a roasting bag.
