We had eggs baked in avocados on a base of beluga lentils and leeks

Dinner will be beetroot and goats cheese risotto. Not made it in years but sister gave me some unwanted beetroot yesterday so....!

My husband's going to have rump steak, chips and salad. I'll have vegetable quiche and salad

MiniMoon Thu 18-Aug-22 15:03:32

Well, today's dinner is pork in mushroom, cream and wine sauce with creamed potatoes carrots and brussels sprouts.
Later I will be making a bramble and apple pie for tea.

lucky for some.

I had maintenance to do today so just bits and bobs, whatever I can find that takes minutes to prep. I am shattered. If I don`t cobble a meal, then I don`t eat. There is always a bowl of cereal and an apple

Going out for a meal - but weather looks bad so dont know whether friends will cancel - I’m ok if they do

It was going to be roast chicken, but that’s got plenty of use-by time left, and I feel like a Thai Green prawn curry instead - I have a pack of the Asda’s tiddly SmartPrice prawns which usually go in a stir fry - and for once I’ve got everything else it needs.

I made up a Korean marinade for chicken wings earlier will bake them and serve with basmati rice and stir fry veg.

Chicken stir fry, fry the strips of chicken, throw it all in the pan and add the chilli sauce. With a bottle of something.
Simples.

Went out for lunch- so a couple of pieces of toast and a yogurt (half fruit, half plain Greek).

White fish with beluga dal to which latter was added chopped onion plus odd bits of chopped lettuce, chopped red bell pepper, turmeric, ground cumin, cinnamon, ground cloves, garam masala, ground ginger, ground bay leaves, ground star anise, ground cardamom, ground coriander seed, ground celery seed, paprika, spinach powder, and roasted ground pumpkin seeds.

Oh! And some pork bone marrow from another meal (kept and frozen till its moment came).

Roast chicken tonight, new potatoes, fresh French beans and either peas or carrots. Possibly both. Plus of course plenty of proper gravy.

Vegetable curry, loads of garden vegetables, no rice.

Today there’s a barbecue at the rugby match or will get Chinese takeaway later on.

Fillet steak, jacket potatoes, green salad, baguette, and various pudding choices. Our daughters and their families.

Pizza. Being lazy.

An Asda take away box as we've not had a take away meal for ages.

HowVeryDareYou Sat 20-Aug-22 16:50:09

sausages, mash, carrots, peas and broccoli

bridie54 Sat 20-Aug-22 22:54:19

Tonight was a burger roll. Mr B’s fancy.
Tomorrow is home made veg lasagne ( from the freezer). My choice as easy after a day in the garden if it’s dry.

Aubergine parmigiana with salad

Witzend Sun 21-Aug-22 08:40:50

Some of the SDM (School Dinner Mince) I batch cooked for the freezer the other day. My version is semi veggie though - red lentils and a lot of finely chopped root veg added. Believe it or not, dh loves it! Will have with new pots and whatever veg I’ve got.

Jam sandwich. Just like the Queen as reported in the Wail.
