I've just cooked cheesy-breadcrumbed Basa, with sweet potatoes and oven-roasted Mediterranean vegetables. (It's a Gousto recipe I had ages ago) Gorgeous.

To me the words “low calorie”, “Irish Coffee” , “meringue” and “Gateau” do not belong in the same sentence! 🤣🤣

Oh but they should! 🥰

Foxygloves Thu 13-Jul-23 22:09:44

I wish they did 🍰🤪😢

We should test one (or two) 😀

Some potatoes have been terrible lately, MiniMoon, even new potatoes.
We haven't planted any this year.

Sausage supper - easy Mary Berry.

Norah Fri 14-Jul-23 15:00:26

Black bean burgers, buns, cabbage pepper slaw, baked carrot wedges, fruit. Leftover desserts if any remain at that moment.

Lamb chops, new potatoes and very minty peas. Dh is out so I can indulge - he hates lamb chops.

Chicken, sweet potato and pea curry.

Ooh, I like Mary Berry’s sausage supper whitewavemark2. So easy to put together and hardly any washing up. Very tasty, too.
Tonight, though, we’re having pork steaks which have been marinating all day in a Chinese style marinade along with jasmine rice and some stir fry vegetables all washed down with a glass of red as it’s Friday 👍🏼😁.

Chicken Tikka - home-made - chicken thighs marinated in yogurt and spices, baked in the oven, with Bombay potatoes and pilau rice. One of my favourite meals, also a favourite of late DH.

Bulgogi Tofu Burgers, roasted potato wedges, tomato cucumber salad, fruit. Rice pudding including dried fruit.

As it’s turned cooler, I think calves liver alla Veneziana which sounds posher than it actually is.
And with crushed new potatoes -saves the fact of scraping or peeling bigger pots.

My sister is over from Spain and we’re going to the Giggling Squid for a Thai meal tonight. (Slow cooked Moroccan lamb tomorrow.)

MrsKen33 Sat 15-Jul-23 12:55:46

Spag Bol with courgetti

Following a different thread, we made Jamie Oliver's Baked Polenta Chips for GC - chilly afternoon, they need healthy snacks.

We left Parm out of the chips and the dip - unnecessary ingredient to the taste. Added herbs to the chips. Quite good and well received.

I don’t know yet, I’ll rustle up something.

Whitewavemark2 Sat 15-Jul-23 15:02:49

We are eating mid-day where possible at them moment - better for my digestive system.

So we’ve had penne with pesto made with two types of nuts, avocado olive oil parsley and garlic, then fried courgette slices and peas.

It was delicious.

Primrose53 Sat 15-Jul-23 15:57:10

Jacket spuds and chilli con carne tonight.

Dottydots Sat 15-Jul-23 16:16:28
