I've just cooked cheesy-breadcrumbed Basa, with sweet potatoes and oven-roasted Mediterranean vegetables. (It's a Gousto recipe I had ages ago) Gorgeous.

I had homemade tomato soup using some I had grown. I stirred lentils through it for some protein. Seeded bread and butter completed my meal.

Pork chops, veg and potato tonight. The chops cooked with the new potatoes, and glazed with honey and grain mustard (potatoes started off first in the oven, glazed chops added after potatoes have had 20 mins). New recipe, hope it turns out ok. 🤞. Just off to start it now.

Just simple roast chicken, gravy, roast potatoes, carrots and tender stem broccoli tonight, but my last two evening meals were far more exciting. Friday we had Kedgeree with smoked haddock, yesterday Chicken Biryani. Plus, inspired by the recent thread, I've made a boiled fruit cake, which we will have a slice of any time now!

Boeuf Bourgninon, potatoes dauphinoise, green beans and courgettes from the garden.
We should have had a red wine but preferred to have a NZ sauvignon blanc.

No room for pud!

Left over Lamb Navarin and left over apple crumble and ice cream. A lovely lazy day.

Tomato and mascarpone (or cream cheese) risotto - a recipe I found recently but haven’t tried yet. But I have all the wherewithal, so here goes (later).
With salad.

A stir fry with a few bits of leftover chicken and lots of assorted veg, with egg noodles.
And an Eve’s pudding, since I have one and a half huge Bramley apples to use up - left after making Delia’s mincemeat.

Chicken sausages, mash and baked beans, we never eat a dessert, neither of us are fussed.

margauxbordeaux Sun 08-Oct-23 17:10:55

I had re-sized my French Endives baked in the oven.

Hopefully the smaller sized photo shall fit the Format required.

Such beautiful photos, Margauxbordeaux

Are you writing a cookery book?
(Although some of the recipes might be rather ambitious for me)

We had good pork chops, roast potatoes and red cabbage inspired by another thread. The recipe was a pik'n'mix from several recipes but it included red wine, onions, Bramley apples.
