What is for dinner today MK II

Gammon, egg, beans and chippan chips - a rare treat.

Not a bean, baked or otherwise in sight! 😁

Savoury mince (carrots, onion, red pepper, garlic and mustard). New potatoes and sprouts. Banana with Greek yoghurt, soft dark brown sugar.

Gino DiCampo chicken pizza. Didn't like it at all so that was a waste.

Smoked mackeral kedgeree - it was very boring.

Cheese on toast followed by the last slice of banana bread. I've been working my way through it ( for 3 days ) as I wasn't keen on it really.

Stirfry chicken, vegetables and rice.

I do like kedgeree, haven't made it for ages.
An idea for the weekend 🙂

I make it with smoked salmon trimmings usually which is much nicer than the smoked mackeral one I did tonight.

I've made if with smoked haddock which was good.

Today we had pan fried haddock and scallops with brown butter, lemon and caper sauce. To complete the meal I made baby boil potatoes and runner beans.

Fish, chips and peas for me. Steak and chips for my husband.

king prawn curry with egg fried rice from the Chinese takeaway. 11 months since we last had one and it was delicious.

Today is lamb shanks with seasonal veg. Fresh fruit salad (well actually I’m chopping up melon and grapes) and vanilla yogurt.

Spinach feta filo pie with carrots cabbage and courgettes and a white wine sauce

Roast pork with apple sauce, roast potatoes and parsnips, Brussels sprouts.

Leek and Stilton quiche made with walnut pastry and salad. (Cooking at the moment)

Lamb Biryani made in the pressure cooker, with onion bahji and nan bread.

Roadt pork, roast potatoes (homemade!!), cauliflower cheese (Sainsbury's frozen) Aldi sprouts with pancetta and maple glaze (recommended on the sprouts thread - I'll let you know) apple sauce and gravy.

Leftovers from an excellent M&S 'dine in' offer. Far too much for two people. So we're having chipolata sausages with Yorkshire puds, colcannon mash, chicken gravy (I know!) and Brussels sprouts. Obviously I've supplemented a bit. To finish, as a treat I got two of their new cherry luxury yogurts. I feel replete even thinking of all that.

Shoulder of lamb cooked with rosemary and mint jelly.
Roast potatoes, cauliflower cheese, carrots, peas, yorkshire puds, gravy. Berry cheesecake for dessert.

Slow cooked chicken curry followed by fruit crumble.

Are the yogurts made at Langage Farm?
A bit pricey but delicious.

Just about to go and start preparing veggies and preheat the oven.

Callistemon I've just checked the now empty yogurt pots and they just say 'West country' yogurt. Absolutely delicious. Cherry flavour tonight. A treat though - £1 a pot!
