Apparently one in five Brits feel they couldn't survive without nuggets. I don't recall ever eating one! The one food I would not like to be without is cheese. What would yours be?

I do live without nuggets!

I agree with you-couldn’t live without cheese

What's a nugget. I'm imagining some sort of ultra-processed food.

Eggs. I do love a nice boiled egg... or scrambled etc...

Never had nuggets, not that I can recall anyway.

I have to live without cheese as it is a migraine trigger - I miss it!!

The only nuggets consumed in this house are when the GC are here. They look revolting!

I couldn't love without yoghurts and unsweetened soya milk!

Cheese here too. I’d like to say I don’t eat nuggets, but Booths hot and spicy chicken bites are just right for a lunchtime snack and I’m sure someone will tell me they’re nuggets by another name.

I occasionally cook chicken nuggets for the grand kids. They’re handy to keep some in the freezer, just in case the Grandkids are dropped off without notice 😂

I also happily live without nuggets! Like others I used to think I couldn't live without cheese, but after looking at the cruelty within the dairy industry, I now do, very happily!

I do usually stick to Violife vegan cheeses, which aren't too bad, but can't resist the real thing on special occasions. I shall be buying some Cambozola for Christmas.

He inz baked beans

What are nuggets? Are they like faggots? I don’t like them!

Salti Mon 13-Nov-23 11:15:00

I've never bought nuggets, but occasionally make my own chicken goujons completely from scratch, including making my own breadcrumbs from my homemade bread.
The one thing I can't live without is fresh full fat milk. I can't abide long life milk or any of the pretend milks. I have on rare occasions drunk fresh goats milk.

I have never eaten nuggets so yes, I can live without them.

My diet is restricted for health reasons. You can live without anything if you have to.

I think the nuggets being discussed are chicken nuggets Whitewave, although I’m not entirely sure that most of them have ever been near a chicken.
I’m another who has never eaten them, but Mr M uses chicken breast and his own home made light batter to make what he calls chicken nuggets for the grandchildren.

I bought some nuggets when I went through a phase of watching tv adverts and thinking I wonder what they are like. I don’t buy any of it now.
I love cheese especially if it’s mature cheddar.

Germanshepherdsmum Mon 13-Nov-23 11:20:19

I have never eaten chicken (or any other kind of) nuggets, nor served them to my child.

I can’t think of any food I couldn’t live without. Lots of things I would rather not have to do without, obviously.

Salt closely followed by coffee

Whitewavemark2 Mon 13-Nov-23 11:27:10

Oh yes!! Chicken nuggets of course I’ve heard of them. But aren’t they children's food for the busy mother? I would not have thought that adults eat them. They are a bit beige😄

Theexwife Mon 13-Nov-23 11:28:06

I dont eat meat so would be fine, I am sure many have had chicken goujons, which is what nuggets are.

Maggiemaybe Mon 13-Nov-23 11:34:26

I’m out on a limb here. Not only have I heard of them, I’ve served them up to the grandsons and actually, gasp, eaten them myself. They’re pieces of chicken breast in breadcrumbs, hardly the work of the devil.

I could live without them though, and can’t actually think of a single food I couldn’t live without.

Marydoll Mon 13-Nov-23 11:36:39

I couldn't live without eggs and cheese a close second!

Charleygirl5 Mon 13-Nov-23 11:37:11

I cannot live without M&S coffee. I tasted Heinz baked beans once and never again- revolting.

I thought gold nuggets!

I wouldn't want to live without fruit .... especially apples, oranges and bananas smile
