Steak in the air fryer.

Has anyone cooked steak in the air fryer?
I have heard it is a good way to cook it, cleaner obviously but tender and tasty.
I have just tried it as I am in on my own.
It was certainly tender but I found it tasteless and the texture was odd.
Was it my cooking or is griddling as I usually do a far superior cooking method?
