Reminiscing about childhood sweets

Chatting to my sister she remarked that when buying some sweets for her GChildren, she noticed that an old favourite of ours, a Curly Wurly seems to have shrunk in length. I laughed and said it was likely because we had actually grown taller! It reminded me of my absolute favourites from childhood, Spangles! This was closely followed by sherbet pips. If I spent my hard earned pocket money on these I could make them last forever by sucking them one at a time. Any other grans (or grandads) have any old favourites?

Allira my local cafe sell lots of old fashioned sweets they’re all in jars and they’ve got gobstoppers the size which would choke a horse, I bought flying saucers recently and soor plooms , I just love those old fashioned sweets the cafe has a real variety you won’t get anywhere else near me, I just have to watch I don’t chip my teeth and do my best to sook them to the bitter end

Oh, proper gobstoppers!

I can think of one or two I'd like to give them to, Bonnybanko
